I've got a 2.9 block from a Corrado with standard (OBDII) manifold, TB etc... Only other mod is a BMC induction kit. Had it rolling roaded at 195BHP / 188 Ft/lbs torque

I just gave mine a power shower after removing the filter from inside - couldn't belive the amount of crap that came out & the number of flies. I even got a silk cut fag end out of it!

I had a bash a while ago, ended up towing it to a garage. Problem was that I couldn't get access to the underside of the car as it was on the street. From what I could see its held in by two or three bolts. I was told that the engine would also need to be supported as one of the bolts is somehow connected to the engine mount. Give it a go. I reckon I could have done it, but just couldn;t get a jack under the car.

Keep them. They are not worth a lot, so you may as well. -
Is it normal for the gear change to be slightly tough to put into each gear

I sometimes have problems getting it into first. I had my gearbox oil changed last year which helped a little. -
Vag Com Error - Idle Speed Adaptation Error

I'm pretty sure this is what I had as an error when my MAF was on its way out. I was told that the ECU didnt know how much air was coming in and increased the fueling until it couldn't increase it further. If it is your MAF, GSF do a refurbished one on exchange for £60ish. Symptoms were stalling, stong smell of fuel, loss of power and a misfire. -
Used mine for ages with no problems. I keep my originals in the boot incase I get stopped. They are illegal as plates have to have a BS mark on the, be made of reflectorised plastic and have the postcode of the people who made them.

My tweeters mounted in the original position. I just cut 2 round cirlces from thin mdf and mounted them on to it.

The cross overs on the standard speaker set up are built in to the tweeter on the dash. Just remove the tweeter and have a look underneath it, you'll see a resistor or two

I've got MB Quart Discus fronts. Got them amped. The x-overs are in the boot as they are massive on these. One thing I would say is that the MB Quarts are a little OTT on the treble, but this may just be the amp in using (Alpine V12 jobbie)

Ive got a set. Can't really give a comparison from OEM as they were totally fukced hence the replacement. One probelm I had was arcing on lead 1 of my magnecors. The set was replaced free of charge by them though, so no complaints here.

Mines in a similar place to sankysVR6, but it does get in the way of seeing anything throught the rear view mirror at times.

If theres a phone number on the bookelt its worth giving them a call. I have a different alarm to you and got a spare fob direct from the manufactures with instructions on using the PIN to recode it. Or, get in contact with the last owner and ask if a)theres no fob as the alarm is broken or b)he forgot to include it.
