  1. I'm getting a slight misfire at low-revs intermittently, but this also seems to often cause the handbrake light to come on, would be interested to know if anyone knows anything about this...
  2. where abouts in West Yorkshire are you mate?
  3. Hi guys, Has anyone else's VR got a high level brake light in the back window at the top? Mine seems to have the black surround etched on the window and 2 brackets to hold one on, but not the actual unit. I've tried looking round scrappers and ebay and haven't seen another one with this yet... Picture shows where the outline is: Cheers, Mike.
  4. Hi, wondering whether you guys can share any light on this... I'm looking at getting a speed cam detetctor like a road angel etc and ideally would like one with laser detection too, been looking at the new road angels on ebay which seem to go for around £100 and have the laser detector built in, has anyone got any views on these or other detectors in a similar price range? Any help greatly appreciated, Mike.
  5. that is unbelievebly cheap, and if you don't buy it I will!!!
  6. Cheers, think I'll take you up on that... would be very helpful and maybe I could sort you out with a pint or something in return...
  7. It's not the pad wear light, it's the brake fluid and handbrake warning light, but doesn't seem to be either causing it... I'm sure VAGCOM will be able to point me in the right direction... Cheers, Mike
  8. Since buying the car I've had problems with the Red brake warning lamp coming on in the dash at random times, and I'm assuming the ABS warning light would be coming on too if the previous owner hadn't kindly samshed the bulb in it. Haven't got round to putting it on VAGCOM yet, but will do after the weekend when I move back up to Yorkshire. Anyway, after running the car and opening the bonnet after turning the engine off I can hear a buzzing noise coming from the ABS pump sort of area constantly for about 5 minutes... Is this normal or a sign of anything useful (i.e. pump failure etc)? Any hel
  9. All fitted and working nicely with total closure... Very pleased with the alarm and glad I don't actually have to unlock the car with a key any more...
  10. It would have cost me £220 if I lived in Birmingham, found the link through ebay and he only does these prices if you buy through ebay, his feedback seemed really good and they were all for alarm fitting... Will let you know what I think of it/him on Monday... Mike.
  11. Cheers for all the replies guys, a bloke is coming down from Birmingham to here (Bournemouth) to fit it for £270, couldnt find anyone local who could do it for that sort of price, most places wanted £350. Cheers, Mike.
  12. when this happens do you have to arm and disarm the alarm before you can set off (had to do that with an alarm on my old Megane Coupe)? Cheers...
