I have a cone on my VR and it makes no noise! Might be because it is turbo'd. My Lads Lupo has a BMC on it and that sounds great, it is shit slow but it sounds great

    Hi im new

Hello everyone , I have recently aquired the best car i have ever driven. It has cost me as the coil pack was faulty(£175) and needed all round springs and shocks(£350) the rear calipers were seized(£250) most of the cat was in the tail box(£185) the air bag light was on and the abs did not work(£?). But saying all that this little car puts the biggest smile (grin) on my face. The vr6 golf is just an awesome bit of kit. It is an old one 1996 vintage. I had to remove the tint from the front windows to drive it and adjust the suspension height as there are major speed humps where i live. I woul

  11. I had a weird intermittent taping from front end, left hand side of engine. My also had the same issue on his old mk3 and turned out to be a bearing on the water pump, or one of the bearings down in that areA. I gave the bearings in that area a little squire with wd40 and it went away. Worth a try!

  17. Very nice line up!Ive grown up around American cars and have had a few myself.Had a 1953 Buick Special straight 8,1982 Plymouth Gran Fury LAPD Police car with the 5.7 in,a horrible 72 Chevy Vega Kammback in kermit the frog green and a 71 Ford LTD Shooting Brake with he 351 Cleveland engine in. They were all many moons ago and ive been into VW's after a little Jap fetish. Im currently building a 3.0 vr6 Turbo build which is fully forged and is costing me a damn fortune to make it perform and look nice but it will beworth it. However,im getting the itch for a v8 again so when this is finished it

  22. Looking good bud! The US splitter IS shallower, but it's also deeper too, meaning it wont fit a euro golf bumper, unless the splitter is cut down Alternatively, you could get a Vento bumper, as they are the same proportions as the bigger US bumpers

  23. Look for OBD1 VR6 out of a Corrado or 1993-1994 Passat. They come with Forged Cranck from factory, and dual chain/Sprockets. They will hold more than OBD2 motors but you can switch to OBD2 wirring and all. They are 2.8L. Thats what i have always went for when Turbo them.

    DIY turbo guide

They are running R32s with an AUE ECU? Cars like the R32 have little value over here because of the stupid cost of fuel. We don't have cheap E85 like you guys.
