  1. Top work dude! Keep at it, will be a brilliant engine when built
  2. Good work man. Going to be a beast when it's back on road.
  3. You can have the immobilisers removed / deleted from the ECU. Afew places offer it: United Motorsport, VW international parts, And a few other places.
  4. Tell me where it is and I'll buy it! Haha Nah, jump on it mate, sound like it could be a bargain. If they have receipts to prove rebuild.
  5. Lots of people are using lugatrionic these days, as it's all plug and play and will work with all standard sensors. Mega squirt is quite afew years old now. I have limited knowledge of mega squirt but from what I have, it can only work up to certain knock count. So can't be used on new 24v or r32. Or any car with variable valve timing. Why lugatrionic took over, plus it was designed purely for VW and Audi and to work with VW and Audi sensors.
  6. No, 6 cylinder and 4 cylinder use a different fly wheel. I don't think the bell housing is removable. It casted in one piece. You could swap all the internals in to a VR outer casing and that would work.
  7. Looking nice man, You should look into etch/acid priming, The zinc priming. Some people call it cold galvanising. It has much better anti corrosive properties.
  8. Getting there buddy Keep at it, and will be done before you know it! Bet you can't wait to hear that VR sound!!
  9. PM sent about bracket.
  10. I ran TA for years, there not to bad. Yeah loads of people run them. One of the better ones from budgets range.
  11. Looking good buddy, be much better with the coilovers on. Gewindedampfers just means threaded damper in English. The make is TA technics.
  12. Can make new custom ones yourself with braided hose AN fittings and banjo fittings.
  13. Front cross member and lower arms finished in the polyurethane top coat. Subframe done while still on car, with everything disconnected. Again in the polyurethane coat. Loads of stuff waiting to be fitted, plus my bonrath vents, and wing mirror covers waiting to go in to body colour.
  14. You mean the bracket that holds the super charger on to the cylinder head?
  15. No but I can measure it
  16. i've done abit of an update
  17. Best way get a roof over her I built a car port for mine few years ago, Was meant to just be a roof on posts, But now it got sides, doors, and is totally water proof. So it's changed to a garage One of the most usefully things I have ever built! Makes for much more workable place when out in the colder and wetter months.
  18. Hockey puck engine mounts, to raise engine Look good fella, One of my mates has and auto VR one of these, Got nice cream leather in it though.
  19. I want an Uprated LSD but there not cheap! I had 3 complete engines for £70 from a local guy who was emptying a barn he used to build cars in. 1 of them has bottom end rattle, other 2 seem all good. But no gearboxes with them. And unsure of mileage. Have you seen the chairs made out of inlet manifold, they look cool too.
  20. Cheers buddy, If I can do it my self rather than getting a company to do it for me I'm always up for it, and I enjoy doing the research and the work afterwards. Research and knowledge is the key to any good build I think. You can never know to much, and are never to old to learn new things! Even though I'm only in my 20's lol
  21. Don't worry buddy your not alone, I got 4 bottom ends, 5 with one on my car. inlet manifolds I seem to get a lot of I have 7 spare atm, 8 including on my car. 3 cylinder heads, 4 including one on car. Had a lot of it free, or so cheap it worth buying just to store, to save it being scrapped. I need to find some cheap or free gear boxes, then I have whole spare setup!
  22. You going to swap the engine or charger on to your red one? Or are we going to see another build? Should be good either way!
  23. Cheers buddy, Yeah you should be able to use the conduit on water pipes, it's meant to be heat resistant. You'd just have to buy wider stuff to fit over the larger diamiter pipes.
  24. Spray gun stand I made With my cheapy spray gun. Top section is for a filter to sit in when filling spray gun. Top coat polyurethane, meant to very hard wearing, some people say harder wearing than powder coat. As it's used on oil rigs, and cranes at sea. But I will find out over time. Hopefully it's brilliant. It sets almost like rubber. It's made from polyurethane which is a type of rubber compound. And commonly used to make poly bushes, which everyone knows last longer than normal bushes. Plus a hook to hang spray gun in booth. One with the heater, as I usally move it to take a better
