Pretty sure I have a vr6 box in the shed

Have you had a look to see if it's ever been written off? It could of had a front end smash if wings and bumper have been sprayed.

I might have a spare set in the garage will have a look later.

Hi, I'm after a vr6 as I sold my vr6 last year and regretted it ever since, must be solid as I don't have the time to be welding a rot box. The lower the miles the better. Budget is around 1200 thanks.

Think im in the market for a new engine, i did a compression test today and only had compression on one cylinder of the six, oh dear :-(

I think the hydraulic tensioner has given up and the chain has skipped a tooth and put the timing way out, when you turn it over it pops and backfires

I was only doing 30 there was no bang it just died and the oil light and buzzer were on and i couldnt restart it

So on the way home my check oil light started flashing and beeping and the car lossed power so i switched off immidiately and coasted into a layby, i serviced the car a couple of weeks ago so the oil is good and it is up to the max mark. The car does turn over but doesnt want to fire what so ever it just spins over, im thinking timing chain may have gone any suggestions would be appriciated. Its a mk3 golf vr6 btw cheers

Will a g60 gearbox fit a vr6 or do you have to swap bell housing cheers
