keep going mate, theres only so much you can replace, just get it replaced with another one, you will probably find that an auto leccy could swap over the control box without the need to re-wire
Ive seen standard silver finish on a mystic blue vr and they look spot on, just enough dish to them, I was going to get them until a cheap set of TT comps popped up
I paid £3250 12 months ago for mine, standard 3dr P-plate in mint condition, full vwsh ,a box file of reciepts, 2 owners from new, the reciept for the car when it was first bought and then the 2nd reciept (at this point id already though "your mine") full untouched tool kit and spare bulbs kit, 50,000 miles, full option spec
Ive final bit the bullet and bought a PC polisher, but need a 110v transformer Has anyone else got one? Do you use a yellow site trans or something else? cheers
And if it was that good and I were selling it Id have big detailed pics, not tiny ones where you cant see anything just found it on another site, i think z-enginnering make it and its normally the same price as a schrick mani!!
r32 kits http://www.vf-engineering.com/ they wont sell direct to the uk public, but they have a sister company over here where ive just bough a kit. Prices are good at the moment as the dollar is so weak buy it here http://www.nsracing.com/
The price does seem to vary alot and its worth shopping around as sometimes the hassle of a 100 mile drive could save you a few hundred quid, ive been looking for when my charger is fitted and a place 40 miles away want £600! Stealth 160 miles away will do a better job for half that so its worth the road trip Dont quote me, but I have heard that the gains on a reasonably standard vr arent really worth the outlay, but if you were to throw some nice cams into the mix you'd start to see a better return for your hard earned cash. Personally I wouldnt bother with a remap without a few more mods th
just buy a vr6, youll have the full package then I dont see the point of swapping the lump and creating a car that is already easily available, just seems like hassle and once you replace the suspension and brakes to cope its not really worth it when you can jsu buy the car your putting together. Just my opinion Also the insurance may be retarded because it wont be a vr6, itll be classed as heavily modded mk3 cl so may end up costing more to insure than a vr6 with all its extra luxuries Get a realistic total cost for the lump, brakes, suspension, labour, exhaust etc Then see what price a vr6
Bit of a con basically, they say that as they are so reflective, when a speed camera flashes you the glare from the plates is so bright the camera cant see you reg? Strangley though these companys never have proof that it works?
Have a word with this lot http://www.wyko.co.uk/bearings/ they will more than like have something as the sell bearings for btcc and f1 and if they havnt got it they will get it
Thats a point.....this is one of those questions that goes round and round, think its gonna be a suck it and see situation, try both, see whats best, mind you im getting a v9, so it probably varies doesnt it?
Changing the colour of a car is a nightmare to do a proper job! bonnet, boot, doors all have to come off, inside filler flap has to match, engine has to come out etc. Its a massivly expensive job compared to a same colour respray, because of the labour for stripping, sanding and masking. For the same price as a proper colour change you could probably get a same colour respray and supercharge it!
Autoglym ultra deep shine is a new one out, that is designed for dark paint in place of srp. It does seem to make the colour deeper on my mystic blue vr, then an hour later a layer of egp, then 24hrs later a layer of p21s carnuba, then a final buff with hi tec finishing cloth, itll look quality!! But the next day the carnuba will have cured and youll come out to work to be greeted by wet looking paintwork!! important thing is to leave about 1hr curing time between buffing off one polish layer and applying the next thing The pic is b4 I did the carnuba layer
