  1. I can get my fans to kick in if I remove the plugs from the control module and jump the large red to each of the two to the right. 1 at a time checking both speeds. can also get the aux run on pump to kick in. yet they won't kick in if I bypass the temp sender unit. Also not kicking in if I let the car run up to temp. getting desperate as im slowly cooking my poor engine. but my fault code reader (cheap genden one) isnt finding anything wrong. ive checked and replaced all fuses. cleaned all contacts inside the plug and tried 2 different modules.
  2. The yard/depot manager showed me the mot receipt u get nowadays and it has no advisories in the box on the right. This is from a reputable business who we have been using for years.
  3. My main concern is I was told bottom ball joint were gone, mechanics words were f***ing hanging out, speed bump equals seperation. Also beleived other suspension components needed attention as did engine mounts. But the mechanics who did the work just replaced bottom ball joints and left the rest. This is a company vehical so the first fitter would have no reason to lie about bits failing, where as the others who done the works are known to be lazy w***ers. I been moaning the header tank is leaking for 3 months and they have seen it themselves, Not even convinced it actually went for an mot an
  4. Its not dull thud from worn rubber its to harsh for that. Apparently its just past an mot. But I'm not entirely convinced its road worthy.
  5. Couple of questions. Would like to know if they would come up/show up in an mot and if they would be a fail or advisory. Vehical is a 3.5t ldv van coolant tank-visible obvious leak Knocking on suspension, bottom ball joints replaced, still doing it just slightly less. Knocking noise under initial load (gear stick jerking at same time) Vibration on brakes when slowing from motorway speed, front brakes replaced.
  6. Nah didnt half inch it, some nice 'do as ya likey' tried to steal the 4000 gallon fuel bunker from the works depot, and mr plod left about 30 mtrs of it wrapped round the fuel bunker when they finished thier 'investigations'
  7. been quite lucky so far. been past a few, couple of odd looks and double takes but no stops yet. been round town, went to croydon and drove round there and back home again. just hope i dont get a miserable one today
  8. Don look at the splitter Daverse, wasn't planning to fella, just hope I don't get a miserable sod.

  11. Anyone tell me what the faults listed are for? I believe low voltage terminal 30 is something to do with the MAF. But the other 2 are a mystery to me.
  12. thats what i thought, the old gal is due a service anyway so i'm going to swap coil pack plugs and leads when i do the oil change. but knowing my luck it will still crap out hence listing the faults found. hoping it might pin point something before i go spending a fortune i dont need to.
