  3. I had the same problem on my last car, its a nightmare, but this seemed to be the best plan of attack, it worked for me, but screwed the wheel bearing, but as ur scraping it that dont matter You need a proper professional wheels socket that you can hammer on over the security nut, get it lined up, get a big hammer and smack it, basically your trying to leave the pattern of the socket on the face of the nut, if it will cut onto the nut, keep hammering, if not get a narrow chisel and chip it to shape, dont take too much off though, you need it tight enough that the socket is hammered on with no
  4. Mine was £3500 10months ago for a mint late Preg, highline spec, untouched, 50000miles with full VWFSH inc the original reciept and a further 1 from its second owner, I got him down to 3250, bit his hand off and laughed all the way back along the M5, I would have paid £4500, so £4000 for yours would be a fair deal so id hold out for it big time!! You will get it :-)
  5. an audi one will work that gives a constant 4bar, possibly an RS4 one? about half the price
  6. Obviously you cant just turbo an engine, but surely if it aint running well its not gonna make 400 bhp anyway? When an EIP st3 kit, with all the components that it includes, is estimated by EIP at 440 bhp at the wheels, after a rebuilt bottom end, I dont see how a poorly running bodge could be putting out only 40 bhp less?
  7. what, with just a turbo and spacer alone? no re-map, intercooler, injectors, air filters etc?? everything else standard?
  8. Just been cruising around another forum and found a post, your normal boyracer talking out his arse " a friend of a friend has" sort of thing, basically saying that this guy knows of someone that has a VR6, no mods at all except for a turbo and a head gasket and Is claiming that it is making 400bhp at the wheels!!! excuse me....AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH!! :S :@ (yn) Sorry had to get that off my chest, the rage was welling up inside me

  19. Oh yeah, sorry didnt see that bit. Stick with getting a pro to sort it out for you, if you do go for this one, make sure its UK spec for sure, as if its USA etc it'll fail emissions in MOT, possibly? Just a thought
  20. ebay mate £130ish you'll love it
  21. disconnect battery whilst working on it, when you reconnect it, strange thinks happen on dash once the engine is started as i sorts itself out, clever lil ecu
  22. STEP AWAY FROM THE BARGAINS They are a resistor which fools your ecu into think the intake temp is cooler, chucks in more fuel, slowly frys ur engine, theY also sell them called boost valves, which is a variable resister(volume knob on an old stereo) they actually cost 20p from maplins hahahahahaha IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT IS!! 20BHP GAIN HAHAHAHAHA
