  4. Has anyone tried to do this yet? I think I may have seen somewhere that as the bmc has those pressure drop fins inside it that they are unsuitable for forced induction (i may be imagining it tho :S ) I was just thinking how good a charger with a bmc would sound, althought i suspect it would be a tight fit, if it was suitable for a supercharger

VAG parts and essex racing ive seen so far, but ive heard also that the celis rings die coz the heat from the bulbs kills the resistors and as the lights are really enclosed i think heat would be a big problem. All the so-called HID effect bulbs are crap unless you spend big money on them which I dont mind on a HID kit, but not £100 on just bulbs
  8. 145 chasing a 911. I was glad of my snooper as I was concentrating so much I forgot the speed camera, slowed up with a bit of a shimmy with my mate looking slightly worried, the 911 got flashed hohoho Looking forward to trying again with my new bits n pieces fitted! Schrick Ahoy!! :-)

  10. Just a thought, as theyve just clamped down on carbon emmissions in MOT tests, where you can has to fall into the stated category, would the schrick mani and cams, throwing in more fuel mixture cause, or a least risk it to fail the MOT on emmissions? or is all that sorted at remap time?

  12. Eip is mainly bought on an exchange basis, so i think they probably mod and refit OE inlets?
  13. I had one in my rs1800 and a mate had one in his rs2000, didnt really notice a thing, dont think there is much point until you get seriously modding, like forced induction etc, theres better ways to spend £90, put it that way :-)
  14. yeah I spotted that aswell and was gonna follow suit, along with an insulating gasket. Thinking about a new exhaust mani aswell, which ill wrap if i do go ahead with it
  15. 100% cotton mutton cloth, auto glym do it called the perfect polishing cloth, but you can get it in big bags from halfords for a fraction of the cost, then when all thats done give it a go over with auto glym hi tec finishing cloth(red) just for the final buff, it makes a huge difference

  17. megs clay, autoglymn super resin and xtra gloss, then p21s carnuba liquid synthetic polishes and carnuba was polishes do different things to paint, in combining the two you will get the full effect and wet looking paint
  18. I use megs and zymol lehm clay, they seem to give the same results but the zymol is double the price essential bit of kit tho

I usually do 5-6 hrs once a month, i rinse it with my orbital jet pressure washer(its the daddy), shampoo with gilmour, rinse, chamois, clay, super resin, interior, polish off super resin, extra gloss, polish alloys, polish off extra gloss, polish glass, pack up, pray for a dry night, up early, p21s, stand back and admire, load high powered rifle, climb on roof, look out for pikeys and birds shitting from a great height, quick blast and chamois in the week if needed Little very anal tip that I an ashamed to say ive done, it maybe a step to far, but as you cant polish in the sun, argos sell ga
  20. Looks to be Schimmel is firmly for F/I and the EIP is pointless (even a few US site say not worthwhile) Schrick it is then i think, I hate saving money!!
  21. yeah, well the schimmel anyway, but i have seen on another forum people using them n/a but i dont trust them crazy yanks :-) eip i think is a reworked oe item as they are bought on exchange basis and look very similar

Ive got my 268 cams on the way and am looking around for inlet manifolds, obviously schrick seems to be the best bet, but the schimmel and eip intakes are tempting me slightly because of the huge price difference. anyone got any experience the the schimmel and eip items? pros and cons with them etc, ive got a feeling what the answers will say but had to ask just because of the price difference Ta all
