  3. The switch hasn't collapsed has it? They fit to the rear of the barrel and just crumble over time when they go brittle causing dodgy start ups at best or jamming and not turning at worst. Only about £15 but a bitch of a job

Blue Point, basically Snap-on, same warranty, cheaper I buy alot if tools from US eBay, I keep and eye out for bargains and go for snap-on, blue point, mac and with power tools makita snap-on and milwaukee. I got a makita 110v impact gun for £50 Inc shipping, bit rough to look at but works perfectly. I got a uk hitachi one for £22 Inc shipping Also a big fan of tools from my local military surplus yard!! Bomb-proof and cheap!! Monster socket set with a ratchet nearly 3 feet long and sockets upto 40mm, I suspect they are tank tools but they've rescued me several times. I also buy ratchet span
  5. V-Power down here was £1.34 last weekend, that stang abit and a third of a tank has gone already
  6. Follow the line back from the brake servo and you'll find a T-piece ready to go with a green cap on it, just remove the cap and plug on
  7. Use a test light to suss out which is which. It looks daunting but if you sit and look at it for a minute it makes sense. Start at the ignition switch connection

  9. I bought it without reading the small print and then found it doesnt work on 64bit systems. Spoke to him last night and he said they are developing it and would be a few weeks, but he would speak to their programmer and get back to me, then this morning I had a mail telling me it was ready and to download from the link the provided!!! Brilliant service So it now works on all operating systems that the ross-tech version does. well worth the money!!

  11. try changing the oil and filter first off, it cures alot of nasty noises on VRs

  19. Splits in the hose would cause MAF codes because the MAF would read the amount of air passing through it, but then even more would get in after the MAF and a code will be thrown up. Coolant temp sensor is only a few quid from VW so may aswell be swapped just to rule it out.
