  2. I'm having quite a few glitches, freezes and annoying things happen with OS4 already, if this was happening on a brand new iphone4 I'd be really pissed off. I suspect 4.1 is fast approaching
  3. Yeah on eBay all the time. Not much point though, take out your fog lights and you'll see what I mean
  4. I'm not bothering, it was £250 to finish my contract plus £219 for the phone, but you use unlimited internet and gain HD camera and flash, so not worth it. Plus I bet the early ones have overheating issues and various glitches
  5. Rotrex is the daddy in my opinion. If I did it all again I'd have a Rotrex over a Vortech any day
  6. Apparently it the oil cooler fails the water doesn't get into the oil, it's always the oil that gets out into the coolant
  7. set the flap to 4100rpm and see how it feels
  8. Vw synta silver oil always seemed best on mine, alot of others went straight thru it
  9. It could be something nasty, but I've also heard of it happening when the wrong oil has been used. More often than not it's the small things that are hardest to spot, when something expensive goes bang when your driving, you tend to know it
  10. Take some pics of the engine bay and post them up. Include a close up of the top left area of the top of the engine I saw in another of your posts your not to happy with the ecu, any running issues?
  11. What boost are you running? What exhaust system do you have? Cat, pipe size etc What do your plugs look like? Check the head gasket What crankcase breather have you got? Standard valve, no valve, etc and check the pipe isn't kinked Have you knocked the sump? Can you hear any sounds out of the ordinary that started when the dipstick problem did
  12. here's the difference, the bottom graph is with the schrick fitted and with the big torque increase early, the dip in the middle is the flap switching which looks bad their, so we changed the switching point 100rpm lower and it smoothed things out

  14. Air leak? Other undiagnosed problem? Mine pinked alot when I fitted it, but mine was charged aswell. I got another remap to make the most of it and it was fine

  18. An extra £80 now on decent gear that'll last years is cheaper than another £225 in 12 months because a shit clutch turned to dust and blew away
  19. Only use OE quality, mr clutch use the rejects from mcvities to make their clutch kits I've heard.

Easy, front bumper off, drain oil and coolant, fit new heat exchanger that lives on the front of the engine above the oil filter, refill fluids, flush the coolant through, drain and refill with G12. Probably cost you £70 max for the lot if you DIY it and a mornings work. Worth scanning first though to see if any codes point to something else
  22. Since owning the S4 only a single Impreza has had a go, the VR used to always get BMWs and Clio Sports etc have a bash. I'll start punching above my weight in a month or two when I order some new bits. I want to try my luck against an R8 then
  23. Heat exchanger failed and letting oil into the coolant and probably gunged up the sensors
