  1. Reinz ones are good, they were OE on mk4 12v VRs I think so eBay may be worth a look or TPS
  2. Waste of time, they're better of getting their car mapped once fitted to get te setup at it's best specifically to their car Stealth solder a blank EPROM onto the ECU then programme it specifically to that car.
  3. Don't touch Rota, they make them light by using less material, I've seen some scary pics of wheels that have shattered or cracked the full circumference of the rim. I'd go for pro race 1.2 or maybe MOs, they are heavier, but rock solid and I've always liked the 6spoke ones. If I had the cash, Dymag Carbon & Magnalium Wheels, not cheap though but super lightweight
  4. I wouldn't touch it with a shitty stick, crap quality
  5. Just heard from matey, 130nm on the adaptors, 120nm on the wheels
  6. Damaged syncro going into first probably or damaged gear. Happens from nailing 1st gear. I think it's a known weak point. You could try MT90 gear oil additive, may smooth it out a bit
  7. Early filter is a canister style filter, late is just an element they are specific to application

    injectors

Green tops then http://www.sprayitracing.com/42lb%20Bosch%20EV1%20High%20Impedance.htm , but they are way too big until the turbo is on, you won't be able to wind them back far enough whilst N/A
  9. Shit Chinese replica turbo's aswell, Audspeed also sold these kits and they were shocking from what I've read. Coincidently they are also based in Canada.

http://www.sprayitracing.com/index.html if it's not listed send them a mail as they will probably have it. What they for? Turbo/Charger?
  11. Always use super, in my VR it was for the long term benefits and the same now with my S4, along with the fact Audi recommend it and many say they run crap on normal fuel
  12. http://www.carbasics.co.uk/How_to_test_your_alternator.htm
  13. If your alternator isn't working properly it's not charging the battery to power the electrical gear, like the ECU. The ECU will need a certain amount of power, if it doesn't get it it will just shut off. Many other things will still work though check the cables and connection from the alternator aswell, it may have a loose earth
  14. Ditto what ricky says, so long as they match on an axle it's fine. Loads of cars come with staggered wheels as standard
  15. Terminal 30 is positive terminal on your battery, check it's tight, may be worth a new battery and check the alternator is kicking out enough power as it may be faulty, also check the aux belt condition just incase
  16. May be worth checking the fueling with VAGCOM then mate and see if the coolant cap is holding pressure, mine had a tiny crack once that was just enough balls up the flow of coolant
  17. I'm really worried about mine at the moment, since fitting port and polished head it's running at 114 degrees on a run and pretty much 100 general use. Is it worth fitting a better cooler when was your last oil change? I found fresh oil made a fairly big difference in temps, but an oil cooler is worth doing on any VR if only just to bin the heat exchanger as they are a weak link
  18. Setrab 16 row slim line cooler with mocal thermostatic sandwich plate. The Phirm got all the components together for me. Biggest bonus is scrapping the water/oil heat exchanger so the coolant isn't heating the oil and vice versa. Had it positioned behind the small bumper vent, passenger side and covered the front face with ally sheet so it worked like a heat sink, then if I needed the extra cooling for play time, undid 2 bolts and slid the sheild off.
  19. I used a 16 row thermostat controlled one when I went SC and it was spot on, you could sit in traffic for an hour on a boiling day and it would just reach 98, ring it's neck an it would occasionally reach 102
  20. I used jetseal and wax on them but it was no where near as good. I also used to polish then up abit every few weeks with belgom alu and brilliant metal polish using a little 12v halfords polisher and a wool pad, then sealed. They got sold though because I was sick of doing it. Still my favourite non splits wheel on a mk3, but keeping on top of them to the standard I wanted was a nightmare
  21. Metal melisha and DVS decal kits look good aswell
  22. How about plain white plastics and these decals http://www.pitbikeparts.co.uk/snow-camou-graphics-style-bike-p-657.html
  23. Nah, you want the 6 branch hot, but not radiating to the bay so just heat wrap is spot on. Cold air feed isn't worth the effort, it gains nothing on N/A really, even with a BMC it just changes the noise abit
