  1. I ran 300hp on my on a later three layer gasket,so that ratio was rased to 10.5.1, and ran with no problem. It was intercooled,i suspect an non intercooled with higher intake temp would not fair well. so a mild drop in CR,say 9.1 would be better .

  3. The SP cams are the best thing ive bought for my vrt,mid range power is massivly improved!
  4. i ran the wizard wet kit with progressive contoller ,150 shot.had no problems besides the clutch slipping.

  6. inlet and throttle body are smaller on the 2.8 and the bore size. The later 2.8 are obd2 and have the same power as the 2.9's due to the more advance managment.
  7. sorry for the deleyed reply,its around 45psi on idle and raises up to around 60psi on boost. thanks for the reply mate.

  9. Thanks guys,forgot to update this so here goes.... I still am using stock managment,with a little tweeking and 360cc injectors,but i got boost greedy and ran lean and the end result was a blown engine,it was a 155k motor so it was ready for a rebuild! So i found a brand new vag 2.8 block and pistons on flebay for a bargain 399 quid! so i rebuilt a new motor with fresh everything! i mean everything,later chains,guids,gaskets,oil pump,shells...the full lot. Also spruced up everything with new nuts bots and paint! so far ive done 1000 miles and it runs very smooth and soooo quiet! runs very smoot
  10. you can use atp with stock manifold,just fit the turbo downover and use the ATP Turbo downpipe.

  14. they have no issues as they are left hand drive so there is no brake master/servo there mate.
  15. Stormcharged is using this manifold,you will have clearance isues with the brake reservoir,you will have to fit a remote reservoir fitted to sort this.

  17. I did my VR turbo on a budget and made the inlet and exhaust,still cost me the best of 2.5k to do...will be good to see if you can pull it off mate.
  18. holly thread update time batman! forgot to update this, :$ got the car finished about two months ago,all running well,kicking its head in all the time to see what will happen and nothing so far! But the bottom end is tierd so im building a new one,but managed to get hold of a brand new old stock OEM block and pistons for 399 quid bargan! few more randoms!
  19. Them rotrax chargers are the real deal compared to the VF9's...good numbers there mate!
