  1. thought i saw a m reg on your photobucket? n is still obd1 bud. You are wanting the same manifold but stainless?
  2. gsf, euro etc....the maf plays one part as do many other components, guessing can prove expensive mate.
  3. that wont make a differance mate, you have loads of space infront of the rad with golfs. thats my charge cooler rad btw.
  4. mine is a raddo but infront of the rad, behind the grill.
  5. So let me get this right....you took you car for a service and before hand it was running fine? you pay your money leave and the car is still fine or developed this fault? who serviced your car? are they specialists or joe blogs?,what plugs did they fit? did they fit plugs? ask them what they changed and part numbers....
  6. what can they prove if your car fails emmisions on the side of the road....nothing as it needs to be the full vosa test and the will issue you a prohibition notice to rectify the fault as it could be anything wrong with the fuelling system not just the cat. I have mine on a V-Band fitting, takes ten min to swap from a cat to non cat.
  7. The maf measures airflow into the motor,it has what is know as a "hot wire" a voltage is sent through the wire which the ecu reads, once air is passed over the wire and cooled the resistance value will increase and the ecu can fuel acordingly. Thats all fine when the engine is N/A but once your F/I your car the volume of air passing the maf at any time is greatly increased. So basicly to much air passes the maf at any given time, more than the ecu can calculate/read...so it hits a fuel stop and shuts power as its readings have gone past it limits, hence remapping. A clamp basicly stops the maf hi
  8. stick some gas on there! that will work well!
  9. I tried the Power gasket...piss poor and did not work and it ripped apart when you tried to remove it. The one Kev linked is like the one i use, better quality, fitting, sealing the lot and it works...really works, reduces the heat soke by quite a bit,no figures but by touch its noticable. In FI applications it should be high up there!
  10. it will just come undone again, you may aswell screw back in what you already have. The time sert is not for the plug threads but the head,at somepoint your threads have been damaged, its been drilled out and tapped and the time sert would have been fitted....not very well.
  11. you wll stll need the tool to lock them in place mate.
  12. get under the car and get a big bar and socket and make sure the subframe is tight ! What condition are your engine mounts in?
  13. Im its M14 x1.25 mate, but the kits can be pricey!
  14. Helicoils are great for blank holes but plugs and all other open need time-serts. Im sure its M14x1.25
  15. Ok mate,i dont want to have a argument with you, cant be arsed.
