  1. i love peeps who say i only want 400hp ha ha!! But when i take them out in mine they get scared shitless! plus the power to weight is good to! Now it depends what kind of rebuild you are after,if its a bottom end refresh ie no rebore pistons etc and chains guides that sort of thing it could still be up to a grand but it relly depends on the garage you take it to what the price will be, R32 are the new rage now...cheapish to get hold of but still will cost more to get fitted by a garge. but seem to be in the price range of 3-4k supplied and fitted.,,,,then if you want more power its always goi
  2. the R32 has a bigger head and larger pistons to name a few...its a good engine if you want hugh hp! The 12v is an old engine and mine is is capable of running 400hp+.thats all on a stock motor with spacer plate....put that 400 hp on the road in the real world....its fuc*ing fast! and any more hp is a blur!! If your motor is tierd and needs a rebuild then yes i would say put a 24v motor in due to the cost of rebuilding the 12v could be higher. As for which 24v 2.8 or 3.2...it really depends on how much you get the engine for and what future hp targets you want. Just to note a full R32 motor..bo
  3. as i said before mate, its the same as the raddo...and does what you describe and hits the tunnel lip. So its an underside job then?
  4. i would like to know myself how you get on mate... without doing it from the underside and no bashing of the tunnel section to get the pin/shaft out.
  5. same as the raddo,it hits the tunnel...you could hamer it flat...but thats not a good idea.
  6. up to 3 hrs labour charge, its all depnding on how easy the exhaust comes off.
  7. No its all from underneath mate, cat off ,heat shield off etc, drop off gearlever box and work from there, you can do it at home, how handy are you with them spanners?
  8. Kev still uses a 2.25" system i think...he has 400hp,so i would asume it flows fine, but the less restrictive the better, hence why the diverter valve sounds good and keep stock sytem.....or you could just make up your own and point it out the side...oh yes! they will both work but would sound like you are blowing via a straw :-p
  9. My system is a 3 inch down to my magnex 2.25 system, now i like the car to sound and look sleeper so i was looking at one of them diverter valves you can get from ATP turbos http://www.atpturbo.com/root/releases/release091004.htm its expencive, but i was going to make my own to keep the costs down.
  10. genral standard intercoolers will not flow enoght for a VR,for starters is the saab dieslel or petrol.
  11. avoid it mate, loosens off all the crud in your motor just for it to be drawn up in the oil pump etc. Seen many a dead motor due to this after a flush. Best do more regular oil changes. If my oil goes off its gold colour...its changed!
  12. 263 seem to be very good cams with N/A and F/I cars.....so i would go 263's
  13. think you mean turbo...if so then no you dont, but n/a cams are not suted for forced induction.Better performance with FI cams.
  14. like the drag look, they would look so well on the rado!
  15. there are allot of these "kits" out there at the moment, but they are hardly a kit, most are universal parts you have to modify to fit, poor quality and they have no means of fueling correctly,so maping would have to be added on top.
