so how wide is a fair compromise also i have a set of audi a6 (7 wide) alloys but im concerned bout fitment after pcd adaptors

hi ppl i'm gonna order some banded steels so any ideas how wide i can go but keepping MOT worthy ( no wheel poking out of the arches) thx in advance

will they fit then? will they stick outta the arches?

sweet the ET is 45 Rim width 7J and i can get any size pcd adapters 20/25/30 mm thanks for any help

hello guys if i put the et(offset) thickness of pcd adaptors and rim width can any 1 tell me if a set of audi a6 alloys will fit my golf. i'm a little confused lol

thanks lads dint wanna fork out fork them and find out they dint fit so with a ET of 25 will they stick out of my arches ?

nope thats the ET stamped on the rims do it add the thickness of adaptors to "45" or subtract?

It twists on my 1994 obd1 i seem to remember when buying pads there are 2 diff types of caliper (mine have lockheed stamped on them) i dint buy the wind back tool either. 1. put the caliper in a vice 2. use a pipe wrench to turn the piston take ure time and dont touch the rubber with the teeth on the wrench (brake fluid in the discs cant be good) ONLY GRAB THE DIRTY OUTSIDE PART OF THE PISTON, NOT THE CLEAN PART THAT SLIDES PAST THE O-RING IN THE CALIPER

they are 15 inch, 7inch wide i used the offset calculator in this forum and it says 8mm closer to the strut but smallest pcd adaptors i can find are 15mm and biggest are 35mm

has any 1 got wheels with an offset of 45 fitted to their golf using pcd adaptors? dont no if my new alloys will fit :-( thanks in advance
