  1. toyos for me all day long i hate Pirellis ....rubbish !
  2. man that reply was a piss weak one....yes a stock item will work.
  3. as far as im aware a stock gasket does work as it does not line up directly with the bores and has some " slack"
  4. pirellis are crap imop, try toyos, get your camber and tracking done, what suspension do you have on. What tyre pressures do you run and what engine mount do you have up front?
  5. no need for larger injectors..omly forced induction will they come into play.
  6. I was told by brentacre that they have stopped doing agreed value, instead they replace the car with the modifications to the current market...ie: whats in the back of performance vw,pistonheads etc. Also they replace parts like for like.
  7. ok my turn. 93 Corrado VR6 turbo. 31 years old. Mechanic -which bumps up the price as well as not being able to drive other cars on 3rd party!!! To many mods to list all of which are declared. 350bhp limit---yea right! 5years NCD protected. 3 points---think this will be nill soon. up to 3000miles a year. No charge to add mods. Insured with Brentacre for £820 a year, very friendly dub minded lot....will be there for some time.
  8. It should not go pop mate, most that could happen is the oil seals pop and it smokes it brains out...its more likley that a foreign debris will enter the turbo from the engine and result in a total engine loss situation. But that could happen with ANY Turbo. No videos yet mate...will be in the summer.
  9. bit of a late reply but has your car got a missfire under load?
  10. good one markgolf! Phat--its all most dubs with the 02a box,but once you press the clutch down for the firts time im sure it will locate or you have been one lucky fella lol! cheers
  11. and mine is very...very smooth in its power, but a large part of that is down to your set up of fuelling and managment.
  12. It flows well, ive ported the stock headers and used 2" piping for the manifold, larger than any cast ive seen, the GT35R is pricey but a quality piece of kit,had this on my first VRT and it spooled so quick. The cheap ebay one now spools at 3300 and is fully spooled by 3800rpm and thats with a large hot side,if you get one with .82 hot side i recon you could get that to be fully spooled by 3500rpm. They are worth it as they are cheap, the skyline lads run them with no faults, only the smaller turbos suffer. I straved mine of oil, gave it to much and it still runs sweet, nice and smooth with no play
  13. hmm,all of the ones ive done have two small plastic clips that locate of the fork, but the fork has to be off in order for then to click in place.....
  14. that must have pissed you right off lol! only subaru and big power jap cars have a pull type clutch. Once the release bearing is clipped onto the fork there is no reason for it to come off at all.
  15. what the fucking hell is that !!!!! What a mess...elephant man of the exhaust manifolds/turbos lol!
  16. and just to note...the bearing does not attatch to the pressure plate.
  17. Pull the fork off firts mate then fit the release bearing,it will click on to the fork easy without need for pressure but dont try it when fork is on as the picture as the shaft keeps the two platic clips from coming slack hence why you are finding it tight to get it on. look at the picture...what i have circled, push the metel clip into the hole, then the fork will come off.re-attatch the clip with the fork off and it will click into place when you slid the release bearing with the fork back onto the shaft. hope you get what i mean.....cheers.
  18. its easy as pie mate,if you got spanner experiance then this engine is one of the easiest! and me and many others will help you on the way. The ATP turbo will work fine, you will need to put remote resivours on but thats not a hard job. My Turbo is a E-Bay cheap one...cost me £50 quid and its a T70 with a 1.02 hot side. When money allows it will be replaced with a garrett GT35R with a .82 hot side. have a look through my photobucket site....there is lots there to inspire you with different manifold types etc. http://s66.photobucket.com/albums/h278/Slapsider/Red%20VR6%20Turbo/
  19. As for traction....you going to love me for this put the corrado puts power down allot better than the golfs, but saying that a well fettled gearbox with diff, good suspension and tyres will see you off the line well...in the wet...well...um...just dont do it..ha ha!
