  1. well i had pretty much covered valve stem seal replacement 4 minutes earlier. http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?266259.0#post_266263 and id hardly say that "head off' date=' valves out" was very in depth !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! same as my comment of "leave head and valves in" I was even kind enough to mention it can't be done with tools from hailfords Anyway going into further detail is normally a total waste of time as most don't even say appreciater the help Doing it with the head on save on £££ for new head bolts and head gasket and personally if
  2. soz,i will redo the images as my photbucket needed a clean up. My thread is on the corrado forum. http://the-corrado.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=60683&p=711883#p711883
  3. that wire is the trigger for the alternator, you should find that blue wire runs to the alternator,it needs to be conected to the car loom.
  4. oh and there is nothing worse than a reply telling you can without giving an explanation.
  5. ok...you can, start on what a cylinder you intend to do first, top dead centre that piston, remove spark plug add compressed air to keep valves shut. Remove cams etc, pull out buckets.....now try to crack off the collets without braking the air seal in the cylinder.....go on try it.....then use a special tool that bolts to one of the cam cap studs and compress spring, then use another special tool to remove the steam seal,no pliers here as the valve stem in in the way. Nice and easy. Thats why it died out a long time ago....it takes more time to do than removing the head!!!
  6. same as all the early Vag range mate, easy job, tell him he is full of shit!
  7. all the motors are the same besides bore size and other minor items, how do you plan to run this turbo motors managment? standalone or remaped? I would choose obd2 over obd1 if you are going to run say C2 software and they do run better with OBD2. The stock engine can handle 400+ on stock internals.
  8. use photobucket to host your pics and add the to your thread
  9. im sure its 2.25" as standard.
  10. 50 quid....i dont think they would charge that, not an hourly rate?
  11. de cat or cat they both do the same job and have the same fitting, Its the lenght of the lead and plug type that determines them.

  13. lol! yip you found it! Good to know the C2 do an axel pipe as i will be doing this soon!
  14. if you going to run c2 they up the rev limit by 500rpm. My GT35R with the .82 housing will pull like a muth to red line, the one at the mo with 1.02 is to laggy for the VR. But as sadi above is personal choise.
  15. the 35r will spool around 3500 and be fully spooled by 3800 and still pull that hard untill your valves bounce off the pistons lol!
  16. that GT30 will spool up allot sooner than that...ask stormcharged on here. I would go for the GT35R with the .82 ex housing, ive used this and its one hell of a turbo,Kev on here also uses that. If you can afford it go for the BB type.
  17. ok look here http://www.a2resource.com/electrical/CE2.html look at g1/03...this is the fuel pump relay GROUND feed...not live, find this wire then confirm this. With out this wire attached you will find that injectors, carbon canister and fuel pump wont work. Also in diagnostics(do you have this?) that them faults above will be in there and say short to ground or open circut.
  18. how was it wired in? since you have put the VR wiring in i assume its wired into the steering colum wiring to ignition??
  19. is it a factors immobilizer or after fit?
