  1. Still got it mate but no real updates' date=' engine bay has changed a bit, nowlooks like this... [img']http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2443/3554565716_143f38d1f3.jpg
  2. whether they will rub will depend on the width and offset of the wheel. As your suspension is standard then they wont rub on the arches but if the offset is too high they may rub on the shocks. Can't help you with the fitment but I can tell you that 17s and standard suspension will look like an offroader!
  3. the WHEELS you are looking at are 7.5x17... the TYRES are 205/40
  4. What exactly is it doing? Sounds silly but have you double checked all the obvious things, it might not necessarily be charger related
  5. The difference is... yours has 2.8 written on the cover some others have DOHC written on the cover, nothing more than that
  6. Thats a genuine US golf one (the wide angle lens has made it look thinner than it is)... vento one is too long (or maybe too short cant remember) you could probably get one to fit but not sure if it would look any good. E38 is the place to ask
  7. I've got one on my car but can't find a decent picture that shows the splitter! This is the best I can find but doesnt show the shape of it
  8. vento splitter looks the same but vento bumpers are slightly different to golf ones so the splitter doesnt fit a golf properly
  9. btw Coilpack has nothing to do with the OBD1/2 change... they started putting coilpacks on about 2 years before OBD2 so most VR6s had coilpacks
  10. I've just done a manifold for a friend, usually only polihs for myself but needed some cash!
  11. The measurements mean nothing... look at how low it is now, visualise how much lower you want it and wind the coilies down! With those wheels and tyres you should have plenty of arch clearance just the sump will probably rub before the wheels do
  12. I need to get some of these VR6 blinkers, mine didn't come with any
  13. Yeh that's what i meant. R32 brakes are IIRC 334mm and require a minimum of 17" wheels therefore 312mm should fit behind 16's. But it does depend on the ET aswell. The fronts on my kerchers (et 20) with standard 288mm brakes have about an 2cm gap between the caliper and the wheel. Ah sorry, misread your post!
  14. R32 brakes are bigger than the 312mm TT ones though I thought 4motions had the 312mm brakes and they came as standard with 16" wheels didnt they?
  15. They only sold 61 highlines? Both colours are rare then 8-) :-d
  16. I'd also check the aircon and heated seats work... it wouldn't put me off buying if they don't but can be used to drop the price a bit
  17. GTI/16V/VR6 mk3 exhausts are the same
  18. you need to plug it... either with a freeze plug or what I did was cut the bit that plugs into the hole just in front of the bit that bolts to the head and plugged it with a bolt
  19. My golf had something like that there which connected up to a secondary air pump system. It wasnt on golfs over here and mine wasn't working anyway sp I binned it.
  20. they do international orders
  21. Looks cool when you drop it on the floor at shows but not so cool when you're driving around at a gay ride height with crap (in comparison to coilovers) handling... don't know the exact costs but you're looking at about £2k fitted I'd guess plus any resulting bodywork you might need to allow the huge drop plus another £1500 or so for the wheels... you don't need airride to get over speed bumps you just need to slow down for them What happened to the forced induction idea?
