    I just drunk beer all through the race, even bought Brazilian beer to get into the spirit... didn't help the nerves though!

    yeah, it's a common problem... you need to replace the complete thermostat housing and seals

    I've got a leak from around that area so think mine needs replacing... how easy were the bolts to undo? Doesn't sound like a difficult job but I just want to factor in enough time for undoing seized bolts... anything else I need to be aware of?

    theyre usually merc fitment... 5x112 et60 with a 25mm adaptor to make them et 35

    So you were maybe a tad over the speed limit when you saw an unmarked police car and instead of slowing down and trying to look inconspicuous, you tried to lose them by doing speeds that could get you an instant ban?! :^)

    Not a highline but with the climatronic it's a slightly better spec than most highlines... looks pretty tidy certainly has a lot of potential just needs a few changes here and there and a bit of lowering

    I had a quote for badge & wiper smoothed, rust sorted and respray of tailgate for £300 If you want a proper job make sure the price includes removing and refitting the rear glass

    Obviously there's something wrong but to get the best out of the VR you should still be in 2nd at 40-50mph not 5th

    If the roof isnt being painted I wouldnt be too pleased with them chucking the arch liners on there!

    the H&S centre section was nearly £400 iirc... I had a standard exhaust manifold & down pipe, H&S made the bit from there to the back box which was a remus one already on the car when I bought it. They basically made a y shaped bit that took it into a single pipe with just a small rear silencer to try and keep the noise down made a load of difference to the feel and sound of the car

    Also added a couple of subtle shiny bits (some of these have been on for quite a while but only just got round to taking pics)... and smooth bits swapped some chrome bits for black

    Finally got round to trimming my grubby grey headlining and changed the grey pillars for black. Didn't do any pics as I went along as I was too busy doing it to take pics and didn't really want to cover my camera in glue! Added some vento interior lights...

    Couldnt tell from the pics but do you still have the cats on there? I gained 25bhp when I ditched the 2 cats and suitcases and got a custom centre section made at H&S that went from 2 pipes at the downpipe into 1 and then straight through to a small box before the back box

    I think the VW ones are slightly thinner than that but the 8mm magnecore ones fit in the grooves on the covers

    I used to use NGK plugs for a 16v when I had a ZR2 ... they were the ones Stealth Racing recommended for the same reason as above
