  1. My advice, jus do it and see wot u think. Took mine out, needed a bit of throttle in 1st 20-odd seconds of starting but great after. May need to play with the throttle adjustment screw a bit to get desired idle. Don't open it too much tho, will throw up a fault opened over 15(i think)%

  3. theres loads of pics on here jus pop ur bonnet and have a nosey round, but being a 96 like above I would say obd2 Back to the op my 95 highline was the same, later abs and 288mm discs, obd2 maf and diagnostic port but was def an obd1 engine and square side repeaters
  4. Think he just wants them for his car....Ive got them on my mk2, mine are very crude as I just gassed them out and tidied up with the grinder......but get the stud pattern and any engineers will be able to knock them up.
  5. I'm in kinda the same situation, the only reason I drove a vr6 was the noise. I sold mine about 3 months ago to fund building the new engine, which was gonna be a vrt. Then I decided software and injectors are too expensive for my liking, plus i would break it every week, and lose my license/life. So a 2.9 n/a itb screamer on a MS ecu was the next option....now I'm down to building a 2.8 on stock obd2 with minimal mods... But I'm losing heart in it all together, because its not that I can't afford to run one, but my god I have so much more money not running a vr6! It takes some of the fun aw
  6. buy me one and ill do it lol. ive managed to get a mk3 estate and 2 mk2 gti's for free in the the past....good things come to those who wait! i might pop alone tomorrow with mrs and baby for a browse and some dougnuts
  7. Lol punctures are the most frustrating thing in the universe! I spent 70 quid on tyres tuesday to stop it but had 2 flats since!
  8. yea, got 2 and enough stuff to get it running.....jus nothing to drop it in! But after the few weeks I've had on my bike I think I'll be getting a car soon.....fed up with punctures!
  9. I bought another engine instead of a car lol.....sooooo I'm not. Will prob get some wheels soon tho
  10. U using the stock coilpack?
  11. Got few things on ebay atm, once they sold I'm ordering ms1 v3 (i think....still reading up) it will be on obd2. Just stripped the bottom end to find a badly spun bearing tho got the rods but anyone got a spare crank hanging about? Thought the lump was tooooo cheap to be true.....
  12. please do! obd2 remaps are expensive! i was thinking of swapping to obd1 and eprom tuning, but ms is looking cheaper than i thought......
