  1. I'll have a look for some more when I get home... there's some on facebook here http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=26225&id=241452079981 and here http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=26122&id=241452079981but they were taken before I'd finished
  2. Hiding the leads is pretty easy, polishing everything/ making those smoothed covers was the hard part! 1. Remove leads from the plugs (leave them connected to the coilpack to save time) 2. Remove upper manifold 3. Fit leads back on plugs (make sure they're on properly because once you're finished you'll have to take the manifold off to get to them!) 4. Position them so that they won't foul the upper manifold when you refit it and bundle them neatly together with cable ties. While you're at it find the best route under the aux water pump etc so they're neat and well hidden. 5. Refit upper manif
  3. Changing the suspension will put your geometry out... Get the ride height set how you want it then take it to Supertyres in Maldon, they'll set up the tracking & camber properly for you.
  4. Run them underneath the manifold... I did it on my syncro and hid the holes with a plate and then on my current VR and smoothed the covers
  5. It's all about budget, how much do you want to spend? For budget tyres I've got Nankangs at the moment and they're very good value but not the best in the wet. Toyos and Kumhos are all good value... I found toyo PX4 lasted better than T1-Rs
  6. I might have a set of side markers for sale... the orignal amber hella ones, complete with bulb holders
  7. I don't think the wheels will fly off the shelf if you sold seperately and if you sell the parts part ex for original replacements you won't make a lot and will end up with a car worth a lot less. I'd stick with it, maybe drop the price a bit but be patient or if you're on a hurry work out the price of individual parts and consider breaking it
  8. I think the most important part of a good finish is a paint cleaner/polish... if you don't want to go crazy on buying expensive products you'd be better off buying... a cheapish shampoo, something like auto glym super resin polish and then a half decent wax to protect... doesn't have to cost a lot, if you wanted to go a bit further then adding a megs clay bar kit, some trim cleaner and tyre gel to that will make a big difference as well
  9. You're suitcase is going to be heavy for the flight back... if this stupid volcano has stopped erupting by then
  10. So would £7 - 800 be for wheels, tyres & adaptors?
  11. I found the wiring diagram on vortex... just a matter of connecting the flashing wire from the indicator Well, I just found a whole car on ebay but yeah check classifieds, stuff comes up every now and then but they go quick... I had a spare tailgate and bumpers I sold a little while ago and they sold before I even got a chance to take photos of them! I'd get the whole tailgate if you can, much less hassle
  12. I've got a US car but the wiring had been hacked about to add side lights and make the indicators work properly fir the UK. I've pretty much put it back to US spec so the headlights are on all the time (turn off wihen you apply the handbrake), the front and side markers come on with the headlight but are both also wired to work as indicators as well
  13. It depends what you're covering it with, I've done a couple with a leather effect vinyl and I've always used Evostick impact adhesive (the brown stuff) or wickes own version which a lot cheaper. Spread a thin layer on the headlining and the vinyl, let it dry for about 10 mins then stick it down... I found spray adhesive wasn't strong enough on vinyl or suede but would probably work with normal fabric
  14. I'll drag myself along! there's always the White Hart at Copford where we used to have the Phat Dubs meet... close to the A12, massive car park etc
  15. There ya go, 1 on the way there, 1 on the way back...
  16. Cheers mate... the rest are on my flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/justinminns/sets/72157623849196676/ or on our facebook page
  17. Not my best ever set which I'm blaming on 1. being a bit rusty as I've been without a camera for 2 months and 2. There wasn't enough VRs on the strip! Anyway here's a few fave's, the rest (and larger sizes) are on flickr and prints are available here. Contact me for screen res wallpapers etc
  18. As above... I've got one of those and it improved mine loads
  19. If there isn't one, I'm going up with a few mates from Colchester, we're meeting at the Shell garage on the A12 (Ipswich bound) at Langham at 7am then heading up A12 > A14 way. You're welcome to join us
  20. Love to... there are quite a few of us around this part of the world, if you're going to Santapod on Sunday I'll introduce you to a few. In fact we'll be meeting at Ipswich to head up there so you're welcome to join us
