  1. I had problems with 1. And 2. 1. There's a couple of black connectors under the dash somewhere that I didn't have connected. 2. Mine was a connector not plugged into the connections on the steering collumn. Hope this points you in a direction to go. As for the mpg thing i can't help with. Sorry
  2. Yh if you could do mate just so I can get sn idea of what im looking for. Obviously I'm going to need a turbo lol
  3. This looks very nice are you getting your ecu mapped? I think I'm going to be turboing next year. Do you have a list of parts etc what power are you hoping for?

  5. wo wo wo what year are you in pal
  6. How did you find that carbon kit as I have been looking at it. Was it good to use etc?
  7. Have you connected the k line? I had this problem the port was getting power but wasn't connect via the k line so it couldn't read the ecu. Also have you got a aftermarket radio? Sometimes they mess with the vag com port.
  8. Yh I meant the actual metal replacment as the previous owner jacked the car up in the middle and crushed them. But I have traced some down that someone had brought and didn't fit.
  9. Are your top mounts sitting Correctly. ? I had this problem when I replaced my top mounts as soon as I put the car on the ground the passenger was looking like it was on standard ride height. Anyway it turns out my top mount weren't sitting correctly. Hope this helps
  10. I'm after the part numbers for the sills for a mk3 3 door golf. If anyone has a set or has a rough price of them that would be great. Cheers
  11. What kind of choccy cake ? I have a mate who said to me the other day, what you doing later anything fun ? I said Yh I'm gonna go home tinker with the car He said sarcastically oh sounds fun So I asked him what He was gonna do he said going shopping with his misses Hmmmm what sounds more fun to me?
  12. iPhones are great lol I get nagged all the time for being on here and the amount of money I spent on my car I told the missus she don't like it then you know where the door is, I don't get nagged anymore. Haha abd she spends all her time on facebook.
  13. Would this be for premium members only or for everyone? Just a general question
  14. I don't have a supercharger but it's like most things if you take your time and know what your doing then I don't see a reason why it wouldn't work. I mean a big company like them would have gone through test after test before releasing it to the public. To be honest it just seems a handful of people that are unhappy just because they say it's crap it don't mean anything. I'm sure there's plenty out there that's got it working snd had no problems.
  15. Right I'm rather annoyed i have just removed my carpet in te golf only to find a whole and what looks like another hole in the making. Is there anyone that is willing to come to my house and weld them up? I can't bring the car to you as it's not taxed. I really don't wanna have to get rid all because of a few holes.
  16. Gotta say the best value for money I have ever spent the vault, the knowledge just everything.
  17. Right folks i needs some information to help with my project work at college, so i can get my grade in my HNC mechanical course. i have discussed with my tutor and we have decided i will do a lightened flywheel. now i dont actually have to make the final product just produce evidence on pros and cons, why people do it, the effects it has the transmittable power the cost of lightening and balancing the wheel myself or the cost just to buy one in, the best material to make one out of etc, basically i need what ever information anybody has and anything to back this up. all help will be appriciate
  18. If your a premium member then check the knowledge vault.
  19. That looks good mate. You haven't lowered the standard o the forum at all. it look like a very good car to work on, not too much work but just enough work.
  20. The hottuning coilovers feel firm and give a nice feel that I know I can throw it in corners and know I'll come out the other side, the backs are a tad stiff but I don't have any interior in the back. Saying that I am using coilovers for the gti and not a vr6 so the fronts will be softer due to them not being as strong but they seem to be holding up fine. As for stance well I'm running skinny rx2 wheel and with a deep splitter I can get the front of my trainers under just. And they have never bottomed out touch wood. hope that helps.
  21. Yh it's what made me buy it. My next door neighbours corrado was this colour and I thought I have got to have it. It's just a case now of getting it running right and tidying it up and getting it to how I want it
