    Haha trust me pal it can't be worse for wear than mine. I have rust everywhere faded arches etc. But I still posted up not had many replys but still I like to see someone stick a project out, I think it helps others out too when they are trying to do something.

    yh its there mate haha was there service good? what was the quality like? becuase they do a kit to make your own bonnet thats all.

    haha i call that a tempory solution a complete, absolute solution is get rid of the missus haha. i dont supose it was you that wrote a review on carbon mods website was it? just that theres a review and it says vr6oc at the end.

    Well I may look into the pulleys aswell then. basially i did an engine swap and now the car is starting to get rust popping up everywhere. So my plan is to sort the rust out and shave loads of weight now my girlfriend has a car there will be no more ear ache abou how loud it sounds with no interior

    haha i might do that anyway, well saying that i was going to go lightened flywheel, strip it out, lighten anything i could really, then i was gonna get me sunroof welded up.

    ill be going for full carbon really if i can, i basically need three project idea for my assignments at college and my first one is to work out lightened flywheel benefits second is carbon wings or bonnet and third i have no idea yet so if anyone has any suggestions i would be very thankful.

    Hi everyone, i was hoping one of you is alot closer to your cars than i am and could possibly nip out and measure there front wings from top (open bonnet and start on the actual edge inside the engine bay not where the bonnet shuts and sits flush, it needs to be from the iside where the bolts are!) and then the legnth front to the edge where the door starts, yes i know that the wing goes inwards but this isnt a problem. the reason i am asking is because im too far from my car right now, and am trying to work out how much carbon fibre sheet i need to make my own wings. all help appreciated.

    Yh well at first it just felt stiff then after tried to stretch it out that must of been when it dislocated when I get on my laptop I'll post the X-ray up.

    Igntion switches usually go faulty I think I read somewhere that they can cause similar symptoms.

    About 3years ago i was out bmxing on a hot summers day, then it was spitting with rain and we all decided to call it a day apart from me. Anyways I decided I would try a no footed nose manual, I thought I would start on a flat bit of road. And I got the manual going great now to take my feet off the pedals.     well i didnt technically buy a vr6, but i did have a mk3 gti 8v and that was nippy here and there, and i was told that the vr is heavy a sluggish etc etc but since doing the swap i found that people tlak alot of bob because they have never driven one. i found that with the right suspesion set up it actually handles the same as the gti and it is loads quicker, its the best decision i have done. i can throw it in corners the same as the gti and put my foot down and the power comes on straight away but be carefull you see low teen mpg although that said i got 35 mpg doing 70-80 on the motorway fr

    have you managed to sort out the vagcom problem? i would say try a different maf if someone can lend you one i mean i have a spare somewhere if it is needed but i cant say itll be posted soon as im away on holiday after this week

    does the engine oil get warm? like above the usual 80-90ish?

    The gti is slightly smaller if I remember correctly as the gti has one fan opposed to the twin fan set up on a vr.

    I work for a company called preci-spark. There based in Loughborough , syston, and one in wadebridge in Cornwall. The company directors have there own race team and have a number of Porsche And two ascari .

    hnc in mechanical engineering, i work in the aerospace industry and just finished my apprentiship, it may make it run more efficiently, well it must do something i shall sit over the weekend and do some sums as i have to do a project for the final bit of the course, which basically can be anything, so im thinking lightened flywheel and lower the compression and show before and after results, with moments of inertia and stresses and strains on the material etc
