  1. I was wondering if i could fit a mk 4 drivetrain (Haldex) to make my vr6 12v 4 wheel drive. I am in the process of welding sills and fitting a R32 engine in her. Any advice or info much appreciated. Or a spair synchro mk 3 lying around anywhere. (i)
  2. I want to do a R32 conversion in a 96 vr6. What do I need to do it . Just trying to gat a outline as to to how hard it can be. A list of parts and recommended suppliers and manufacturers
  3. Well any ideas. i've been told it could be either the injector relay or the crank shaft sensor. It does not idle and won't rev above 1500rpm
  4. I was wondering how hard is it to fit 18s to a vr, and do they run good on 18s. Any ideas?
  5. not oil it is FLAMES, about 3- 4 inchses long. looks lovely but not right. I was wondering if it may be running to rich.
  6. I done everything myself , timing seems ok as it starts first turn.
  7. I just instsalled a refurblished head (new guides, seals, resit valves and porting of the exhaust ports). The car starts fine , but fails to idle on its own . give Vr some gas and at 2000rpm she's fine . Any ideas as what good be up?. someone told me she will settle down once she is warm. Oh yeh i have ble flames coming out the exhaut on high revs . Serious!
  8. can someone tell me the correct torque setting for vr6 head
  9. I have got mine in bits a the min and it turns out #1&6 piston is getting oil from the valve guides and seal. Not likely to be your rings at that millage. Seals and guides. I know it a pain seen as you just done all that work.
  10. Vr's are the quickest thing on the road And vr drivers have more balls and are generally better drivers. Got to have skill to contolthe beast.
  11. My 1996 vr6 golf has brake problems. The ABS seems to not be working, no pulsating feeling on the pedal, the wheels lock up and slides the car to the right, just as if i was drifting. Any ideas or suggestions as to where I should start looking to solve this problem. Cheers.
