A tidy looking car, and i agree the wheels look loads better -
i'm sure it is cast aluminium, only major difference over standard ally is it contains more silicon so it can withstand more heat.

right well just after xmas i decided to break even with the vr as the floor was rotten and the sills, so i sold it, now i brought a mk2 gti 8v '91, at some point over this winter i want to drop a vr lump in it as i miss the noise, the torque and the power. so at the moment its a 8v gti and i need to buy coilovers however i dont want to buy two sets of coilovers, some now for the 8v then some later for the vr6. will mk3 vr6 coilovers fit direclty both front and back, and will they be to stiff with the 8v lump in?

Where abouts in shepshed are you ? I used to live there as a kid then moved into Loughborough. We have had around the same amount of snow.

That depends how low you go I scrape most places I struggle to get on my drive.

I'm getting mine welded over as I have holes where they were. As said above only to drain off unwanted chemicals etc.
