  1. The last vid was gross - looked like something out of a film! And he survived?
  2. Some nasty injuries there! Luke, hows the wrist now? Matt, the finger looks gross!
  3. Ouch! That does sound bloody painful! Has it healed ok?
  4. Just the worst! This is the worst i've done, so far....
  5. I suppose this is just me being curious (and quite bored!) really, but.... Whats the worst injury you've had, how you did it, and how long you had off work? And any pics too! So whats your story? I'l start, On 27 september this year i went to work and managed to cut my knuckle and tendon open in my left hand, on a thin piece of metal. I had an operation on the 28 to repair the tendon, and had a half cast for 1 week. Went back yesterday to have the stitches removed and a splint made. I'm back to hospital in 4 weeks to see the physio, but i'm not supposed to drive for 8 weeks! So really not su
  6. Have a search on here mate, there are a few threads regarding turboing a vr. If you are going the charged route, it is worth giving united motorsports a call, for advise, and standard ecu remaps. You'll see better gains with a re-tune matched to your car.
  7. Maybe they were only working with 1 side of the steering rack. I've found a lot of companys adjust 1 side instead of both, which causes 1 side to over adjusted, and the steering lock different when the wheels point left or right. You probably only want between 0.5 to 1 degree of negative camber really.
  8. Well sort of painted it, then done my hand in, and now can't put it back toghter! Oh, you wouldn't have to go 4wd, just use it as a fwd gearbox.
  9. Buy a second hand cl or gl tailgate, they don't seem to rust like vr 1's.
  10. Well the mk4 car is heavier and the r32 looses a bit of power through the 4wd. The mk4 mounts the engine on the front chassis rails the run through the engine bay, and also has another mount that goes from under the gearbox to the front of the front subframe. Yes, cheers, that is my car, but its not looking like that atm!
  11. Well why not spent your money on an r32/4motion engine. Still a vr6, but just abit newer, and coupled with an o2m box, should fit straight in.
  12. Well the best way to up the hp is to fit a charger of some sort. Fitting the engine an box in a mk4 will be a pain because of the different engine/gearbox mountings.
  13. I'm using spax rsx kit, height an damping adjustable. Good coilies for the money, not had them round a track yet, but on road they are spot on.
  14. Is the electric water pump working? Have you ever replaced the main water pump? Does the engine heat up to temp ok?
  15. I think there is an offset calculator on here somewhere. As long as you know your original wheel offset and width, and your new wheel offset and width it should tell you if the will fit with more or less clearance. Heres another http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp
  16. It might help a little. One of the biggest problems with the vr6 intake is that most of it sits above the engine, so conducts alot of heat thats produced. You could try to insulate the inlet from the engine with reflective heat fabric you can buy.
  17. Could be an air lock in the system. How long ago did you change the matrix/hoses/rad etc?
  18. You could try your local motor factors/car parts place, i.e camberley auto factors, motorquip, etc.
  19. There is a bracket that goes from the transfer box to the back of the block. I haven't used one on mine. I've given the wiring for the speed sensor somewhere in my thread mate. Bolts wise, i used most of the bolts from the vr gearbox, then the others were random vw bolts i had lying around.
  20. This is what i bought from the same company. Don't really know whether it is lighter or not, but they can probably tell you mate. http://www.performanceclutch.co.uk/32ltr-v6-r32-eng-bfh-bml/30-9284hf-2036495-381458-609082.php
  21. If you can, take the whole shaft off to see if its bent. It could be your engine moving around too much causing the driveshaft to pop out. Have you checked your gearbox/engine mounts?
