    I have a similar problem whem my car is cold, i can't get it out of gear sometimes. No matter how many times its bled, its still the same.

    Whats the problem- still the clutch master cylinder? Don't give up on it mate, such a small part like that can't throw a spanner in the works of your beast!

    Few, what a day! Loved every minute of it! Thank you Jake for the endless supply of coffee (black, of course :-)) and cheese toasties. ;-) Nice to meet a couple of new faces, and to see Rog out in the mk1. Oh and the none vw crew, we love you really! :-) Shame about the air filter, oh well.... maybe another day. And for the rest of the night, beer, dinner, bed. Sorted :-)

    Nice project. Wish i never got rid of my mk1 years ago, and put a vr in it. Good luck, looks like a good base for a vr lump. ;-)

    I used the russek manual when rebuilding my engine, it was really helpful, and had all the torque settings in. I think you can get a bentley manual too, but no, haynes never made a vr specific manual.
