  1. Sounds like its a miss fire. Try checking the ht leads are plugged in correctly.
  2. I prefer the less plastic look on golfs. No skirts or arch bits. But you'll need to take them off, if your sills do you need welding, which they probably do fella. The plastic only helps collect road crap, mud and stuff, and if the skirts aren't there, they don't collect the crud, so its better for it really!
  3. Hi and welcome to the club. When you say hear the starter, does it turn the engine over? Or just click? Have you put the leads on in the correct order on the coilpack? The oil light will flash until it detects oil pressure, when the engines started and running.
  4. Cool. Was thinking about 1 for mine as i'm deleting the sunroof. Will be interested to see the fitting and end result mate.
  5. Yeah, why not? Should be a laugh to see whats dug out of the hat!
  6. Bit of The Clash, Bowie, Led Zep, Elvis Costello - Watching the detectives...
  7. If you going under the table, i'd be careful because there will be a sailor there! ;-) If we're swapping, what do i get for swapsies for katie? She does cleaning, cooking etc. Can i have the vrt track slag?
  8. Hi peeps. I'm after any sort of wiring diagram for the plug on the throttle body, the colours of the wires and what they do/ where they come from, ta. Had a search on google, but can't get anything thats much help. There's 7 wires in the plug. I'm kind of guessing 3 of them are for the throttle position sensor thats in the t/b. So the other 4 must be for the idle control stepper motor. So if anyone can shed any light on this, that would be brill! ( (h)
  9. Righty, all booked, and deposit paid for me an K. Thought i'd double booked the date, but its all good! See you all there ;-)
  10. You can use it but theres alot more fabrication involved in mounting the subframe, suspension, trailing arms etc, which is why i mounted it all in a mk2 syncro rear subframe.
  11. Have a read through my thread mate, its all in there, probably a couple of times!
  12. PMSL! Looking good though Jake. If you need 'a hand', i've got 1 spare mate ;-)
  13. Yes the head bolts are designed to be reused mate, they don't stretch like standard bolts. The spacer should be ok too, unless anyone else says otherwise, but pretty sure it'll be fine.
  14. Ha ha! Theres nothing thats stops a vr. :-)
  15. Yeah, leads, cheap enough to replace, and have your self a cheap desent lump!
  16. Seems obvious, but have you checked your fuses? If the fans not working, and its not the fuse it could be the temp sensor/switch on the rad. Try linking the 2 wires together, if that triggers the fans, its that switch.

So it could be the wire between ecu and the relay has a break?

Hello and welcome to the club. If is not pressuring the fuel rail then it sounds like the fuel pressure regulator isn't working.
  22. Well done, looks like a tidy example. They look wicked on the road because there's so few left! How does it feel compared to the corrado?
