  1. Good choice keeping the car......bad one on the plinth, they are utter pants, i worst thing i bought TBH
  2. Wish i knew you were selling the wheels mate id have bitten your hand off!!! Always the same, car looks stunning with either set of wheels tho!!
  3. Try back bleeding it with an oil can filled with brake fluid and a small piece of pipe that goes over the nipple on the slave cylinder, bleed it from the slave cylinder up to the master cylinder, i had this problem on an ex's Corrado and this was the only thing that worked
  4. Id keep it, i had a Corrado before my Golfs and it was THE biggest turd box ever, forever broke down so now i am Anti Corrado, i hate the bloody things!! A mk2 VR6 yeah but TBH i cant really see the benefits over your MK3 for the costs in building one
  5. My my you are spending and the car looks spot on with the RSs on, what did you do with the RHs?? Mr GTi only highlines came without sill covers regular VR6s came with them
  6. I personally like the cars with the skirts off, but only do it if your sills aint been jacked up or bent, looking back i would have left mine on if i knew how badly bent and bowed my sills were. ONLY repair for this is new outer sills and i smoothed the line along the length of the sill too
  7. I hate winter too, i only wash my car once or twice during these months, but it hasnt been used since October, After spending almost 3k in summer on bodywork i use an Escort van as a daily through winter
  8. That is if im not mistaken an Aberdeen registered car??
  9. Without sounding pessimistic, i would only attempt a wee race with a 172 or 182 in a straight line cos these cars even in std form will embarrass even a well sorted vr6 in a twisty road.
  10. Like that mate, silver is one of my fav mk2 colours, and the transplant looks factory
  11. Waste of time mate unless you have a small fortune invested in your car, not to mention the differences in the wiring and all the individual parts you will need
  12. Just as you mention it mate bonnet, lights and grille
  13. Bloody nice Rich!!! Very subtle it looks so factory and i like the cheeky Vento rear bench
  14. From the first pic i didnt expect much...... But by golly thats turnrd out really nice!!!
  15. Never good to hear something like this mate!! If its any consolation i binned my Ibiza Cupra years back and it was insured as a standard car, but had exhaust, remap, ind kit and was low as hell, they never even mentioned any of the above and i got it back all fixed up with no hassle at all. Hope the sme goes for you
  16. Used to have some too but i ripped them off, beware of the fronts as there are 3 variations, some for early cars with arches, cars without the arches and the highline which use CL mudflaps. Justin youll only be able to fit front ones wont ya?
  17. Apparently i can have the mk4 anniversary headlights im after, beats last years presents i guess!! I did ask for a supercharger or turbo but i was told to get lost in the friendliest way possible
  18. Correct me if im wrong but why is the R36 Golf scoped for release next year in the facelifted mark6 Golf guise??
  19. You have maybe mixed up the two pipes that go into your heater matrix, or the cabin filter may need replaced!! Worse case scenario is you have a leaky matrix!! Hope and prey it isn't that as its a dash out repair, and its even worse on an air con equipped car!!
  20. Does this mean that the RHs are for sale PHM?
  21. Depends on the age of your car mate, early VR6 ABS ECUs were in the pass side footwell and on the later cars the ECUs were on the abs pump itself, which is under the bonnet, where wll the brake pipes come from!! A GTi one should be the same its just a case of removing your ECU and checking the part numbers first!!
