  1. Took me two years to find one!!! But i have looked at something else, there is a SEAT part no on the wheel too, which leads me to believe that the Ibiza Cupra 20vt until 02 plate MAY share this steering wheel too.
  2. Oh dear that is truly horrifying
  3. Cheers guys looks like i will be buying some nitromors then, didnt fancy trying to wet and dry the laquer on each rim!! Well i will have to split them first and get the centres re painted, hoping to get these done for UDUBS but its not looking too likely
  4. Try looking for a 3.5 cab wheel, contrary to popular belief they are a direct fit with a mk4 GTi airbag, vast improvement over standard
  5. From a vague memory i think the bore is 54.5mm
  6. Basically how do i do it, got some split rims which for now will remain nameless but the outer rims have some chips in the clear lacquer, so whats the best way to remove it and re polish the rims up?? Any info is hugely appreciated as i need to get this done for ultimate dubs
  7. Well my update is..... porsche wheels wont be as perfect as i hoped, which is a blow, so, i may have some others but i need to refurb them. So watch this space
  8. Well things for me have just went pete tong today!!! Headlining looks like it wont be finished, bumper STILL not painted and my wheels aint going to be finished in time, more work than origanally anticipated!! God knows what im gonna do about wheels now!!
  9. I think that rocks!!! I remember seeing one of these parked next to a VR6 a few years bacl and thought............ now that would be a cool swap!! Did that broken up old green Corrado do the gentlemanly thing and donate its engine?? i hope so
  10. Like i said far more complex than vag com a wiring loom!! The problem is that the MK3 runs a conventional cable rather than fly by wire throttle pedal
  11. Said it before, long been a favourite of mine, love the interior, the whole car as a package works perfectly
  12. Look on german ebay, as the vr6 cc is done by a vacuum pump, and its more complicated than just plugging in wires as it was never available in the UK, or in right hand drive. The problem being the accelerator is held in plave by a valve when in operation, hence the vacuum system, BUT the problem being on a LHD car there will be plent of room for said valve/actuator as the pedal is nearly in the middle of the car. I have considered doing it but dont use the car near enough to justify the hassle
  13. What you could do is get a cluster, find out if the wiring is the same by trying it in the car. BUT get an early one that starts reading at 10mph If its different, which i doubt it will be, split the dials and fit the dial faces from the uk set to the euro set, really simple job TBH
  14. IIRC Volks bits do the jom ones
  15. Ive had head gasket/chains done on my current car and my old Corrado without any of the problems you describe
  16. I have some, but not the crystal ones that are more common nowadays, personally i prefer the non crystal(hella) ones. I like them but thats just my opinion
  17. Piece of P!*s mate!!! Depending on if the new enginw has the exh manifold and front pipe still attatched then i cant think of any other difficult parts of the job TBH!! Two hours to remove the old engine and maybe three to fit the new one, its that simple. The ECU will be fine on the new engine
  18. Id go for the R32 also, just looks more special than the A3 for me!!
  19. Depends on the year of the corrado engine namely are both running coil packs or dizzys, if so i believe that its a direct replacement, but believe the ECUs are different
  20. That is a bargain im trying to sell mine ATM And will be paying more than double that for new ones on saturday
  21. TBH i aint done much, taken my car to bits, made it look REALLY REALLY bad then parked it in the drive!! My bumper still isnt painted, wheels still not finished and my interior iss in turmoil, Dont you just love show prepping
  22. Well done Rich, probably the only VW parts guy that actually knows his job
  23. Even the jacking point on a MK3 is pathetic, can still bend it, personally i aalways jack my car yp at the subframe mount point or rear axle mount as this dont damage anything
  24. Poor show, sad to hear that Donna, Hope they dont write it off, IIRC if the 3rd party is at fault and your car is "beyond economical repair" you can insist that they repair the car!!! Good luck and i hope your better soon
