    I can safely put a weeks wages on them all being R plate, wearing Solitudes(unless they have been changed) and all have air con!! Suth african built models imported after wolfsburg changed to building the mk4,they were imported to meet demand for the mk3 at the end of its life. IIRC they aint mulberry the paint code is different as these are slightly darker

    Could be the syncros but more likely the selector is worn, fairly common on older VRs with a few miles under their belt, the shift cables may also need set up too

    They look mint as they are, actually prefer the std finish over mirror polished I will agree with you there Antera, but they are like having lead weights on each corner of the car. Only gripe about Comps are the weight

    Thats my bumper refitted and grille painted, and my Porsche wheels fitted, looking so much better than the pics in my sig now. Just need to wait for my new purchase to arrive next week and i will be a happy boy!!

    18s on a MK3, your a brave man, they will kill the car!! The chinspoilers are still available new from VW, from early GTis and VR6s, dont be tempted by cheap versions as they break very easilt

    Nope. IF and thats a big IF, i stick to the Vodka i should be fine, never suffer the hangover if i stick to that!!

    You can yeah although they will look stretched, if i didny get 205s aith my 8" Porsche wheels i was gonna fit 195/40s

    If its the cam and knock sensors id replace both, pointless cleaning them mate

    Just so those who are going my real name is Martin!! Yeah i will be staying in the Holiday inn, so i hope to be there early on sat, get the car cleaned and go for a few beers!!! After the drive i deserve it!!

    Depends on your offsets mate, but DO NOT CUT the rear arches, roll them if need be, but by the sounds of it you are gonna have a few problems

    Im about to phone the painter to see if he can refit my bumper, wheels should be home on friday and i started fitting my chrome bits today. Think this weekend im going to tackle bits of my bay that i aint happy with, Does anyone know what washing facilities there are on site as i have to drive almost 400 miles to attend this

    Justin take them off and bend the rods!!!! I didnt, and my pass door refused to open, not a pleasant job removing a leather door card with the door shut!!

    ^^^ Top tensioner is a hydraulic bolt, you will see it at the back of the head! Done mine at 126k and im glad i did, done it myself with my maye whos a VW mechanic supervising, or was that the other way round..... :-d

    Dunno if anyone has said, but the elusive "highline" wasnt available until 1995.
