    Screws into the radiator itself, find a plug with a rubber gaiter on it with 3 wires, unclip the plug and it unscrews, its between the top and bottom rad hoses!

    Piece of p*$s TBH Ciaran, the Hyraulic tensioner is a bolt itself a hydarulic one at that, basically it unscrews from the back of the head! TBH if the are noisy i can virtually guarantee that at keast one guide has broken up!

    Sounds like the lambda is screwed mate, black reek usually tells you its overfuelling

    Sounds to me like its the rad fan switch if your fan is operating with the aircon running

    Hey ibi VR that is something id seriously consider, i was thinking on supercharging my car but the price your quoting, makes the turbo kit a better option

    Not sure what other ones fit TBH but just take the whole lot out and put a bung in!! Either that weld the hole up, and smooth it looks loads better

    Unfortunately the aircon wont produce "instant heat" as the heat is supplied from the heater matrix which is supplied by the coolant water so it takes a few minutes to warm up like a normal car

    Sounds def like a sunroof problem, TBH its not a difficult job to remove the roof lining to have a look, its more time consuming and fiddly!! just to note my last golf had early climate control with no "econ" option, and the pass side floorwell filled with water on the way to Inters in 2004, turns out the rubber bung in the bulkhead that seals the drain plug for the condensation was trapping and letting water back into the car!! Maybe not any use here but worth a try!!

    Cheers for all the positive responses, VR40 Yeah its complete 3.5 cabriolet parts, the only thing that is interchangeable between the 3.5cab and the MK4 are the headlights and some other little parts, bumper,bonnet,grille etc are all bespoke cab items!! Its not exactly cheap either :-( Looks good tho IMO

    Cheers mate, TBH it was an impulse buy and last minute, as it had been at the bodyshop for 3 weeks prior to buying the bits :$ But yeah the guy that done it works at the local vw accident repair centre

    Got a 1997 P plate satin silver car with climate, did have std leather but now got colour concept recaros as the std seats are pants!! This is my 4th VR6 first being a corrado, which was a piece of poo, got a gti engineering tuned Golf after that, then my current car which has easily been gthe best one, oh yeah the 4th was a passat estate i used as a runner last year for a few months, total shed!! I have had the silver car for just over 2 years, done 22000 miles in it and its now at131k, but its by far the best one!! Spent a fortune on it this year on bodywork and an engine refresh, done a rar

    Ive owned both and ran a slightly modded VR6 storm for 3 months while my car was in for painting, and i much preferred my golf, as it actually has a build quality, something which for being a VW the corrado sadly misses!! My OBD2 Golf consistently makes over 190 brake on the RR, and its a well used high mile car, i wouldnt like to think there is much in it on the road!! It would be interesting to see an identically matched i.e suspension wheels tyres etc Corrado and golf ran back to back, as my last Golf was a fantastic handling car, and lets face it once a Golf has its suspension changed its

    I must admit, mine has been pretty reliable, only actually broken down once, that was the thermostat!! Replaced things on my car like chains, headgasket, gearbox, and other service consumables before it actually breaks, im a firm believer in prevention is better than cure
