  1. Haha the black one is never finished, I've still got loads planned. But it's mainly there for this stage of the build. This mulberry one won't have half the stuff the black one has done, I want to keep it more OEM looking in the engine bay, but also a nice and clean style at the same time. Keeping air con, may even fit climatronic, and possibly cruise control. Not sure yet. Already ordered a cheap set of coolant hoses from jap land. See how these compare to the custom ones I have made for the black one. Haha Also ordered few things to go under the bonnet. Plus a new grill as two of the cl
  2. Engine not a problem, I have a spare 74k engine sitting on a stand in my garage waiting. I can lend an engine crane off a good mate of mine. Can have old one out and new one in, in under a 5 hours I reckon. I managed to take whole front end off my other VR in 8 mins, that was after dropping the water. My mate wanted to time me lol and said I couldn't do it in under 10mins. That was also thanks to a well laid out and organised tool box. So I know where everything is. And owning about 5 mk3's perviously, so I know them like the back of my hand. I even have a spare supercharger , it needs
  3. Looks and sounds good buddy! It was me you messages about he eBay pulleys. I did the same fitted water pump pulley, and removed it all most straight away. Keep up good work man
  4. The steering wheels was ripped at the top, the pervious owner had taped it up neatly, I removed the tape to see what was underneath. And decided it needed replacing, Went for a Polo GTi steering wheel, straight swap for mk3 one. Re-dyed the top of the handbrake gator, as this was a starting to wear. Removed the spare wheel and cleaned inside the boot, Also cleaned all the boot carpets and rear carpet on seats, same as the interior carpet. Much more to come soon....
  5. As my other VR is more of a weekend toy, Link to my other L6W VR build -> http://www.vr6oc.com/forum/topic/40052-golf-mk3-vr6-on-air-supercharger I bought another one to use over winter and for more daily and wetter weather driving, as I miss my VR over winter months. I also have a newer diesel for daily. So I bought a mulberry Highline. Was very cheap as needs abit of work, But I have loads of spares from owning pervious mk3, and loads of spares from building my other VR. It's going to be on a much tighter buget than my other VR. But hopefully still a very nice VR. It came almost st
  6. New over sized expansion tank, to go with my over sized rad. May not look as nice and minimal as a top fill, But will work much better with my new rad and hose setup. Another few custom silicone coolant hoses on order. Not much else has happens lately mainly because I've been mocking up the hoses, to get custom ones made, plus I've bought another VR! See my other build - Mulberry Highline daily.
  7. Coming along nicely buddy! Going to be an animal when engines together dude. Keep it up man.
  8. Sandwage plate, with thermostat. Plus metal cover cap. Gave them a sand and polish before fitting it on the car, but haven't got a photo yet. Mounted the oil cooler so it would sit in the side vent of the bumper, wasn't the easiest place to mount it. I had to customise the front crossmember, make some brackets, and customise the oil cooler slightly. But after all that I got it mounted where it needed to be. Also made some ducting / panels. so no air can escape around the edges. It's all forced through the oil cooler, not being lost around the edges.
  9. That's a Bluetooth adaptor not a 2.4g wireless adaptor. They will work on androide but not iPhone or iPad. Also most are for scanning OBD2, not OBD1 like you have. Huge differance between OBD1 and OBD2 coding and ECU. So you would need to find on that work with OBD1, as that's what your ECU requires. I had a similar scanner set up on my old phone about 4-5 years ago.
  10. If that's a mk2 subframe, with mk2 lower arms. It's effectively a narrow track mk3. So would require different offset wheels to a mk3 VR subframe and lower arms. If your going for the stance I think your looking for. Just something to keep in mind dude.
  11. Sounds like it's going to be a beast. Can't wait the see the progress on this dude. Keep it coming
  12. Yes you can run a 6 rib belt, But it may belt walk, where the belt moves side to side, over the spare left over rib, Wearing and stretching the belt slightly quicker. But it will work, not ideal, but good enough to get you up and running until you find a 7 rib.
  13. I have 8 valves, All 300 PSI rating, not the cheaper 150 psi rated. 4 are anodised Red, with 10mm push to connect fittings. 4 are brass coated, with 10mm push to connect fittings. Have loads of 10mm compression fitting for use with 10mm copper hard lines. Loads of push to connect fittings for use with nylon air line. Either 10mm or 1/4" NPT. Have an old skool 16 switch, switcher box, like used on old hydralic systems to controll them. Have two short spare braided lines with 1/4" NPT to 1/2" NPT fittings . (Ideal for from bags, where they turn and move) fittings would need to be same siz
  14. HSS minimum for drilling metal buddy. Those gold coloured ones are usually meant for wood. If you want a decent set of drill bits that will last, look for 'Drill All' drill bits. Not cheap but good quality, and very strong. HSS and cobalt mix, some of the strongest drill bits I have used! If you want cheaper look for any HSS drill bits.
  15. It should do mate, find out what kit it is, and then I can give you a define answer.
  16. Sounds like a decent spec engine, What management and injectors are you going running on that setup?
  17. Yeah man, me and my mate have been to players for last 5 years, we left at 4.30AM to get there on time lol Only year I have missed GTi international, is this year, been last 7 years. I'll be at plenty more next year.
  18. You may of done buddy, I was looking at it for 15-20mins, with one of my mates. I got a Welsh accent, as I'm from Wales. I'm 5-11ish, dark brown short hair. Un-shaven, but more of stubble than a beard.

    OBD2 VR6 Engine

I'm from South Wales, I have one missing a few bits, and it's spun a bottom bearing, So it needs abit of work. But 85-90% of stuff is there. There was one down 1st choice scrap yard, OBD2 complete. Car had been rear ended I think. If it's still there I dunno. I have quite a few VR parts, and loads of Mk3 stuff aswell. Where abouts in South Wales are you from? I live in Whitchurch, have done all my life.
  20. I think I prefer it on the gold wheel, Players is brilliant show, I was there but not in VR. Car looked sweet man, did have a good look round it
  21. Michael6656 had one of these manifolds, he might be able to shed some light on what throttle body they use. Is there no part number stamped on to the old throttle body, As it looks like a standard throttle body, not an after market version, so just need to find out what car or engine it came off.
