Tried my red HT leads on engine, Then bought some purple HT leads, they're not the shade of purple I was hoping for, so I'm not sure if I like them. I have spare black and red leads, so not sure which to run at the mo. Few spots of rust around the front passenger window that needed attention. (If this was my black VR it would of got cut out and welded, or whole door replaced most probs. But I fancied trying something different on this one as it just my daily) Removed door card, window and mechanisms, window seals, and wing mirror. Masked up sur

Keep it and get rid of the audi 80 estate as daily! Real men have a boosted VR for weekend toy, and a decent N/A VR for daily! Haha.

Looking good dude, keep it up man

I was running a standard fuel pump back then dude, and 4 bar at 394cc seemed to be abit much for it. But now I've got an updated fuel pump in there and gone back to a 4 bar regulator. Keep meaning to do update but just haven't had time. It didn't run the best with out a map, the idle was very lumpy and would hunt. Plus I never went over 3,500rpm with out it mapped just in case it leaned out to much. So yes it would drive, but not very well, and I didn't go high rpm.

My 1994 Jetta VR6 South Africa

Looks like a clean car mate, nice example of a vento! you get some totally different version of VW over in South Africa we don't get here in UK. And they still produced the type 2 camper van until a few years ago. -
Almost bang on the money mate If I remember right, there 339cc at 3bar 394cc at 4bar there EV6 as well, which are meant to atomise better than the original EV1. What car there from I have no idea, I bought them off a guy who was recommended to me by a close friend. The guy ultrasonicly cleans them, rebuilds them with new baskets, seals and caps, flow tests and matches them. Then sells them.

Yeah mines a ZR-2, with custom toothed setup. Yes you could highly likely find a company who would make ZR-1 pulleys. If your paying for design, and production the price would be rather high. Easily £300 - 400 + at a guess. I designed my custom tooth pulley my self. I do CAD as part of my job, and know how to write and use G-code for most CNC machines. I've worked in the computer industry all my life. Then just had a CNC company produce it for me. Only problem with higher rated pulleys on a ZR-1 is you will get belt slip, as the use a v-groove belt.

Mines running custom pulleys, and wider toothed belt and makes about 11-12psi my injectors are 394cc @ 4 bar. Yeah steath did it, I sent them my ECU as I live so far away.

Pete's OBD2 Corrado VR6 - On The Road

Sorry for slow reply buddy, I've been so busy lately. But if I remember right I paid : £50 for sand wage plate £20 for theremostat upgrade. So £70 in total for sand wage plate. £25 for metal sealing caps. (Not needed if you already have metal one) £40 for 16 row oil cooler £20-30 for braided line and fitting (made the lines my self) i went for quite fat braided hose to help drop the oil pressure slightly. The extended connecting pipe to keep the original oil cooler is only made by United Motorsport I -

Check the rear water pipe, that comes out of the rear of the cylinder head. Common leaking place, plus it's just above the exhaust manifold, so the coolant would burn off. Then check the rest of coolant pipes. Also check for wet carpets in both front foot well, check if underlay is wet. This is caused by leaking heater matrix, and heater matrix needs replacing. If if all else fails add a few drops of red food colouring to the coolant, making it a much more vibrant red instead of a pinky colour, then it 's usually easier to spot leak, and definitely easier to spot stai

No I haven't had it on Dyno yet, think it's around the 300 mark my self. I have a mate who has a MK4 R32 at about 272bhp, and I'm way quicker off the line, and have a higher top end. Had it go off the clock few times. My MAF is a flange I have welded in to my pipe work, so not a standard MAF. I'll get some pic when I'm working on it next. Cheers for your kind words buddy More of an update comming later tonight.

I've got the Mocal oil cooler 16 row, Mocal Sandwage plate, with thermostat upgrade. Custom made braided lines. I ditched the standard oil cooler, it just makes your coolant hotter in my opinion, plus I'm not bothered about my black ones bay looking standard, it was far from standard a long time ago. haha. But you can keep the original oil cool if you wish, but you will need to buy an extended oil feed pipe, so it can take the original oil cooler, Sandwage plate for external oil cooler, and sealing cap. I belive Corrado's come with the metal sealing cap, so you can ju -

There the same spark plugs I run vince recommend same one for my charger setup. They do make the engine run hotter than NGK's, why I have and external oil cooler, with a thermostat, so it can never over cool the oil. Plus an alloy oversized and uprated rad, low temp thermostat, and low temp fan switch. But with your engine being almost brand new condition, I'd run an external oil cooler, with a thermostat. Plus a low temp coolant thermostat. Sound like you made some good figures. What at has been done altogether? I known a brand new 2.9 long s -

There is E85 in Wales near me! Has been for good few years. You can get it in any morrisons station in Wales I think, and I know a few guys who already run flex fuel sensors. Maybe not in England, but there is in Wales. As I looked in to haltech for my supercharged one, and running it on E85 as I can get it from a petrol station 10mins from my house, and I was going to run flex fuel sensor, I may still go this route in the future. Plus yes it does have a lot of features, and all the bells and whistles. To prove it look at link below: http://www.walesonline.co -

Couple of photos from the weekend, before popping to a local car meet. It's in it first show this weekend, just a local classic car show, but should be good. Still got a rusty passenger wing, as I haven't bought a replacement yet. I want a genuine one, but I don't want to pay top dollar for it. So keeping my eyes out.

I got an Audi S6 alloy rad in mine, much bigger than the VR size, but needs custom fitting. It only just fitted between the head lights. More info on it in my build.

Cheers buddy
