  1. We'll have a convoy up from us lot mate, redneck style!
  2. You might need to heat the pulley, shouldn't need to much. And a good set of pullers.
  3. You still after a coil pack fella?
  4. yeah Grandad..... Lol! I wonder what the new uniform will be.... cowboy hat and chaps??!
  5. I'm proper stacked out, even after the rr day, sorry Gavin, would have really liked to have helped
  6. Take the tension of the belt off the charger an check bearings for play. It's odd for a relatively new seal to fail unless there's another issue somewhere.
  7. I did offer you my tyres that I'm selling, would have been fine. Still, wheels look quite cool against your body colour.
  8. If your going to remove it, do it all in 1 hit, days work, including running new brake pipes.
  9. Best place is into the block, but in the sump is ok. As standard, a 20v 1.8t has its oil return low in the sump.
  10. By the looks of your sump mate, the hole was far too small, wanted to be at least 19mm.
  11. If the hose has split like that I'd replace it, as it will only fail again as the rubber has perished.
  12. I've recently used u.m and can say I'd trust them, you have no problems there. You could do a member search and pm them?
  13. Yes, easy enough, had them on my mk3. Good bits of kit.
  14. Can't remember, 12 or 11 12point socket? Think you caught that at the right time mate, I've seen cranks eat into blocks when the thrust washers fail! Glad you've got the love back fella
  15. Sounds like a temperature sensor issue, as the warm up cycle is controlled by the ecu via a signal from the coolant/air temp sensors. Could also be an issue (is it obd1?) with the idle control valve. But vagcom would help diagnosis...
  16. Automatic choke? What are the symptoms? Is it hard to start? Will it idle once started? Does it miss fire? Does it hunt? Could be any number of issues. You need to give us all a bit more info, and have you tried pluging it into vagcom?
