  1. Cylinder heads are the same, just swap upper inlet plus throttle body etc over.
  2. It could be a faulty ignition switch, or a fault with your alarm.
  3. He means atmospheric pressure plus boost pressure equals the 28/29psia.
  4. Might be the fuel pump relay. Have you got a spark when cranking?
  5. If your plugs are dry then there is no fuel, which could point to something like the crank sensor...is it connected to the correct plug, and not mixed up with the knock sensor?
  6. Was the kit for an obd1 or 2? The inlet pipe to the charger, from the air filter should have a take off for the isv.
  7. The plug can be left, it's not used in this country (I think it is to do with American emissions?). The hose that 't's' into the breather is just the breather from the petrol tank, which goes to the throttle body. Just replace with a straight piece of pipe. The black hose with the arrow pointing at it is your isv (idle stabilising valve), which you will need to keep! There should be a take off on the charger setup for this. Use 1 of the ports on the none return valve on the brake servo vacuum feed, for your recirc valve. And yes, just extend your maf wires, use heat shrink to keep an air tight
  8. ^^ What he said! ^^
  9. Nice1! Looks like a straight enough base to start your mods. Never though about white wheels on a mull before, works well though.
  10. Moist, such a lovely word!
  11. That blue sensor sends its signal to the ecu, the yellow sensor is the temp gauge and switch for the fans. Bridge 2 diagonal opposites on the plug to see if the fans kick into life, if yes it's the yellow sensor, if no then it's the fan control module under the expansion tank.
  12. Should be plug and play, alot easier then the mk4 conversion!
  13. 400+ ! Nice 1 Jim, really please you've got your old beast back. But it is only 2wd.......
  14. Yes the abs systems are slightly different, the load compensator was removed, the front brakes were upgraded to larger 288mm discs and diff calipers to suit, not sure on the master cylinder size. The only real difference I've noticed is the front brakes.
  15. Yes they are, I just need to swap tyres on 2 of them.
  16. Easy to do mate, and hand brake cables aren't that bad to do either.
  17. Ive got 1 if you to borrow it, and possibly a set of wheels you can borrow.
  18. Nice choice! Same as the r32, just a different body. And a mate had a tt, and I did bang my head every time! Bloody annoying! Welcome back to v6 motoring
  19. The mk3 subframe won't fit a mk4 golf, it's not like going between a mk2 and mk3. The mk4 subframe mounting points are wider apart, subframe is wider.
  20. You'll need wiring diagrams for both mk3 vr and mk4 golf, as your going to have to splice the vr loom into the mk4. It might be worth emailing united motorsports as he could sort the looms and help advise. Also, the mk4 engine/gearbox mounts are in a different place, and I don't think the vr block is drilled and tapped for them.
  21. Gas is used with some flux cored wires, but not what you'll be doing! I had a mig-mate 130, the wire feed side of it was proper cheap and nasty so I modified it. That helped alot, but you do get what you pay for
