    Hi there , I've had a problem with my 4 mo central locking for over a year , I had to lock/unlock the car with the key and put the key in the ignition to stop the alarm going off , vw garage had it for 4 hours and couldn't solve it in the end they said I needed a new coms unit at about £700 fitted , I couldn't afford or justify that money on remote central locking , I found a post on another forum which read some car stereo adapters send a feed back to the ignition barrel making the car think a key is in so remote central locking wont work ! I removed my stereo and adapter block and the remot

    Every time I drive it I have to redline it once or twice , having said that the mrs drives it a lot more than me , I only do about 5 to 10 miles a week
