  1. Its how the servos on the flaps in the heater box get their vacuum supply from the engine bay.
  2. Solely depends on management/software No need for 5 bar FPR is possible on 440cc injectors.
  3. A stock bottom end will take just below 500lbft of torque repeatedly and well over 500hp on a well tuned setup. These engines are strong from the factory unlike the newer engines.
  4. None of the Rotrex superchargers have a "2 speed box"
  5. Pauter rods are very good Effective torque is what deforms rods, not power. Stock rods will take just below 500lbft in the mid range RPM before they start to deform.
  6. What is the reason for the specific 400hp? have you even driven a 400hp/ton front wheel drive car? 400hp is VERY easy to get on these engines, but its how that 400hp is delivered that you need to pay attention too. Use a small frame turbo with a small turbine and you'll make 400hp with HUGE torque down low that will destroy clutches and gearboxs and drive horribly; or you can use a bigger frame turbo with bigger a turbine housing to produce 400hp with a decent torque curve. Your gearbox and clutch will have more respect for you this way and the car will drive 100 times better. My advice to yo
  7. Please contact our main UK distributor; The Phirm' date=' they are in Hook, Hampshire. Relative to the advice that we give on this site we get next to zero work from this site. The ONLY forum we sponsor is Vwvortex, which has many many thousand times more users than this.
  8. For the immo to be released on the ECU, you need matching keys, immo box and ECU.
  9. We can do it for £80 inclusive of return postage.
  10. All non genuine lambda sensors are useless, end of story. The heater will effect how accurate the lambda sensor is and therefore effect how the car drives and how much fuel it uses.
  11. Skimming the head will not raise compression as the head is flat.
  12. Then the only relay that can be affecting the running of the engine (aside from main power relays) is the fuel pump relay in position 12, bottom row first from the right. Something not obvious to check is the wiring to the lambda probe, see if it is damaged and shorting out.
  13. If the car is OBD1 then I guess its relay 109, position 3 in the relay plate. Third from the left on the top row.
  14. You cant go wrong with a GT35 with a 1.06 turbine housing, out of all the turbo's Ive tried this is my favourite all round turbo on the VR6
