    Make them pay for it if it was at a garage and slipped a tooth while where messing.. Or at least try. Id be happy to pay £60 but as above skim, stem seals, lap valves and tbh new hydrolic tappets is a good idea. Bores ect sound fine... what millage's was it?

    yep the valves are bent, The way you find out for sure is to roll them along a table, Just shows up more easily. It would be easyer and cheeper to buy your self a 2nd hand head and just lap the vavles in and change the stem seals. they go quite cheep The vavle seats on yourrs could be damaged along with needing new valves ect. hard to tell from the pics but they don't look as fresh and clean as mine did, Can you feel a lip at the top of the bore? where the piston reaches the end of its stroke? With the piston at the top of its stroke do they rock forwards and backwards a lot? Can you f

    sticking my neck out a bit here but why do you want to go 24v? I know the head flows a lot better but whats your end goal and what do you want from it. Why not just add rods and 17-20psi? i recon you just want something else to play with

    hahah for a start you can stop rubbing in the fact the weather fuel price taxs and government are shit over here. your spot on, rear axle bushes, poor tyres on the rear, and excessive camber on the front will give you the loose rear end your on about. PS we still have better roads over here

    there 9 times the price of a standard panel filter lol. was going to get one but got a drill airbox, so already sounds good and can't see it making any real power so couldn't see the point personally

    gfs still do sumps. Its hard to tell how much oil its loosing. rocker is hardly anything, If oil is dripping on the floor then you have to worry about it. It could just be a built up over the last 12 years and 100,000+ miles, If its hardly loosing any oil personally i wouldn't bother doing anything. Only thing you have to watch out for is the oil leak on the N/S of the sump (buy the gearbox), this COULD be your crank seal. if its bad then you can get oil on the clutch causing it to slip. to change the crank seal the gearbox has to come off. then while your doing it you will probably

    Nat get audi TT wishbone bushes. there harder than standard but not as ruff as pollys. Get the person sacked, You want wishbone bushes for a p reg VR, if they can't bring that up they need to find another job

    generaly i think girls can't build cars, you should see what they put together round here. standard ride height, crap wheels and playboy stickers Saying that all the girls on here have made really nice cars, this is one of my favorite mk2s, any news on the rally front? Also love Helens and her wheels and nat has made a really nice clean car.
