  1. Just relied that when i did my conversion and bolted the VR6 slam pannel rad twin fans ect, that i didn't swap that little plate on the drivers side. the one that riveted on? think its got chassis number/ engine numbers on it. anyway my car now has the plate from my old VR6. the one that belongs to my car has been scrapped along with the old slam pannel should i have swapped this over? is my car now illegal? cheer for the help Tom
  2. what happened to the spal ones you had? Ive got cheep ebay non make ones lol 2 for £60. wonder how long they will last
  3. post a link to youtube i like most things. old skool, jungle, dnb, hiphop but also jazz, blues and indy side of rock beatles
  4. his using 2 a 11" and 9" Ive got twin 10" but im going to try running just 1 10" for a while... only saved 3kg or something, would like to loose a little bit more
  5. ah fair enough... ive got some underseal from when i protected it to stop it getting worse... goes up like petrol LOL
  6. your on your own with that one, Mk4 R32 master cylinder will be the right size. but im not sure if it will fit... guess you need to buy one and try it on.. theres a good chance it will fit.
  7. your master cylinder is to small for the R32 calipers. imo if it passes the brake test then you will past.. depends if you mean it actually goes down to the floor... Anyway a bigger master cylinder will sort it out, its not just air in the brakes?? dude i have a question about welding... when your welding a box section like that how do you stop... or even put out the fire inside the sill lol? all mines been on floor pan where I can get to the back.. but ive got some like that i need to sort... worried about torching my car lol
  8. don't slam it. strip the fuck out of it.. more weight from the front to the back. spend £800 on coilovers. 16" rims (light as poss) good tyres. new or polly bushes. lower final drive. weld the turrets up/ seams... turbo or charger. list never ends tbf fella... dont take it to serious or it will do your head in lol
  9. after 2 years i might have be driving a VR again... need to get on a track
  10. ah mate i wasn't expecting this.. id love to help out but i have nothing that would be of any use i don't think. pretty sure rods come in sets all balanced machined to match each other.. might be why you can't find a single one.. could be wrong though. so do we no whats happened? to much boost and leaned out, timing out or slipped, spark plugs failed and fell into the engine... im confused. turn your boost down you nutcase lol
  11. cheers so you left the old loom in all the way up to the temp switch.. i was going to rip the old system out and start again
  12. gfs ones are rubbish.. but at trade (or with VR6oc member ship) there only £12 a side... ive been thought about 3 full sets but half at a time.. Going to bolt a ally strip to the bottom edge of my next one... should hopefully give it a bit more strength
  13. I reshelled my in that state.. well tbf wasn't as bad as that. £600 for a CL job done.. problem is its never a true VR6 for selling it. and even my new shells had a little bit of rust on the floor pan.. all sorted now though. You got to look REALLY close to find it on a mk3 as in take carpets out and shit... which you can't do when you go buy a car. Got a brand new rear quarter panel and weld in arch for the other side.. was going to repair mine.. you can have them CHEEP if you want.. want to get rid of them
  14. you slag.. thats the biggest ive ever seen... mines only small :-( lol
  15. ive blown one as well... were going to run out of gearbox'es soon lol
  16. everything's getting old... once you've replaced everything once it should be alright for another year lol might have to use mine as a van for a few years :$ so can't really afford for it to be braking
  17. can't remember now mate... its all in the kit, wiring diagram ect mine had that to start with.. might make a difference
  18. oh was that a question? yes it was still easy.. not plug and play though.. you just got to search for the wires that control your central locking.. iirc green and blue on the drivers side under that sill cover. and wire in idicators.. add power and earth ect
  19. bet thats much easyer tbf... key looks better as well
  20. yup' date=' i'd rather my sump guard take a bashing rather than my sump though [/quote'] lol yep i here you fella... Mine doesn't hit / scrap the floor full stop.. its tucking tyre buy 1" so its low
  21. Yes 100%... looks a tiny bit cheeper than a OE one but you can barely tell You have to transplant your imobliser chip from your current key into it... apparently they have built in a space for it if you can get it out your old key. I didn't have to bother though as my ECU has the immobilizer removed
