  1. Hi - I have an oil leak from my V9 charger I took the air filter off from the cold side and that just left me with the silicone pipe that connects directly to the charger, cleaned up all the chassis leg and put some paper towels down and I get clean oil dripping out of the hose after a run, so it is obviously coming out of the charger ? Any ideas, is this serious or a simple seal or tweak of something ? Thanks
  2. I need some bolt size information for my MK2 with vr6. I need to buy replacement bolts that are longer to allow for modified engine mounts, I need about an inch extra on each of the 3 bolts. So can someone help me with head/thread size so I can get replacements. They will be high tensile it's just the sizing and lengths I need some help with please. THanks
  3. Anyone help me with a rad set up for mk2 vr6 don't want a header tank and want it to be as stealthy as possible, loosing a few things from the bay etc. I've heard of people using BMW ones that have the filler as an integral part of the rad but needs some more info if anyone can help ?
  4. I know this an old thread but I was wondering.......... I have bought a car with a Vortech charger and it has a stealth mafless map, however the maf was still connected. If it has a mafless map can you just remove the maf altogether ?
  5. ^^^ Thanks for the email chat about the hard pipes, as I can't move the car till it's up and running we are going to cobble something together and then when funds allow i'll give you a shout. Markmss - I'll PM you.
  6. Unfortunately that does not look like the right type of bends for the MK2. I need this type of set up. here is what the one I have looked like when it was in the MK3.
  7. Yeah definately post up a pic to see what it is. Will be definately selling mine as it won't fit in the mk2 ?
  8. Hoping to get some quick help ! Had a dry fit of the VR6 engine in the mk2 with Vortech installed. The hardpipe it came with from the doner car (a mk3) fouls against the suspension turret so the question is, is there an off the shelf solution for this pipe, or if not is there a common solution you can make up say getting the corect joins from Regal or something. 2nd question is where to mount the filter and what filter to use. We are thinking of knocking out one of the round plates in the chassis leg and mounting it through and out the other side but just want to see if ayone in the know has d
  9. Sachs clutch kit is what i've gone for,..........
  10. Thanks for the reply, it'll never be going any further power wise and the Helix is £300 so if the standard one is fine I'll just get a nice new one of those.
  11. I am just going to be starting a conversion to change my mk2 vr6 to an odb2 vr with Vortech Stage 2 . Just wondered which clutch people recommend. Driveability will be key so as OEM feel as possible but that can cope with the power. Thanks
  12. Ok thanks, i'll join up and have a look. Pictures would be good !
  13. Hi - I wondered if there was a guide on how to fit new discs and pads. My discs and calipers are from a mk3 vr6 288mm. I have new Black Diamond Discs and matching pads to go on. I am a novice mechanically so am hoping this is a relatively easy job for me to DIY. Please help ! ?
  14. Well thanks to all the replies on here I took the plunge and bought the car. I need to use it as a daily for a while so I've booked it straight into a specialist for a once over and get the sump sorted. Now i've had a proper look underneath with someone who knows what they are doing it looks like an impression of the oil pump in the sump cover ! This could mean the oil pump is damaged and is not moving the oil round so I have left it with them to sort out.
  15. Thanks for all the quick replies, most appreciated. Yes definately oil leaking from picture 3, not visibly dripping but was gathering around the lowest part and definately would drip given time. Unfortunately I can not fix these things myself so any ideas on parts and labour ??
