    got door open now! had to rip door panel off, and bend rod more to release catch. i think i had it so the rod wasnt returning fully, oh well try again!

    right i had this prob b4, my polo door handle wont open the door anymore, and it wont open from the inside either!! last time i smacked it one and it opened but no joy this time, and yes i did bend rod behind it!! any ideas?? thanks peeps

    i only done my rears. i removed wheel, marked out the strip of arch to be removed with some fine line tape, then got the thinnest cutting disc i could find (bout 2mm), and then cut along the edge of the line. work the disc along and u get a nice smooth line. dont grind the edge! cut into the arch. u will cut into the sealant behind the arch which will smoke a bit! it is best to lie down below the arch to do this and u can see exactly what u r doing, wear safety glasses! after rub abit of sandpaper over the edge to remove any sharp edges. then brush primer and if u want some paint over the bare

    ive got G-Max on mine wit 17's, and they rubbed a little, so i removed bout 4mm from the arch lip. it didnt cost anything, u have to bare in mind that if u get ur arches rolled, u may need to get it painted after coz the paint sometimes cracks!

    thats me!! in the my m8s mk2, hes got 2.0 on twin 40's. it was great fun being out on the track!! :-d did anyone see that red mk1 20v turbo crash? we were doing 120 mph and he came flying past us!! next lap he crashed in to tyre wall!! (6)

    is urs dizzy or coilpack? if it is dizzy then this may help. i had a hall sensor go on mine, i bought the car like it. it was so slow, u can lose 30-50 bhp. VW main dealers wouldnt sell me one, said i had to buy a complete dizzy? sumting like £180!! phone these guys they will send u one next day for £35 i think? Probedistributors 01708223225 they supply ones without wires,because the wires go brittle and break! ..fits just the same, just slots in and then screw it down. hope this helps

    its prob the rings/bores worn, but its hadly worth a engine rebuild for an odd puff of smoke on over run? i found that it does it more when the oil is new, prob when its at its thinnest?

    grind it right bk to bare metal, treat it with anti-rusting stuff. prime and repaint. easy. where u to? i could do the job cheap for u?

    right got my header tank cap today. :-p its a nice blue one! (y) ive fitted it and took it for a blast and then left it running for a bit, til the fans came on, and fingers crossed its ok again now!! thanks for ur help everyone!!

    although it is the same colour, u get different shades of each colour. i should know im a colourist for a large defleet company.

    look on ebay, will be alot cheaper. i got smooth front bumper for £25 the other day.
