    i noticed a small tapping noise on mine recently, and then a week later the waterpump went! the bearings were knackered, so it would be worth checking for play on the waterpump pulley!

    yes, it does look like a cat replacement pipe, the flange should have 3 holes in for fixing. i expect they took it off 2 get it through the MOT. LUCKY U!!!!

    sounds like the big ends, could of spun a shell? i would get in contact with whoever built your engine, and get them to take the sump off and have a look.

    i had a similar problem and it was my hall sensor? is the car down on power?

    cheers but its all sorted now. just need to find a 120 amp alternator.

    ok so ive removed my old pump now! with the help of a chisel and large hammer!!! fitted new one etc etc. gone to start car but cant find keys. ive searched for 2 hrs but still cant find them!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

    right ive gone to fit my new water pump, undone the 3 fixing bolts but i cant remove it from the block. ive tried twisting it, hitting it,pulling it but no joy!!! now half the casing has snapped off and the main body is stuck in the block, what can i do? has anyone else had this problem before??

    ok nice one, think gsf will do pump for £24.50. cant find a price for the belt yet? also my alternator is 70 amp in stead of 120 amp, does this matter?

    hey, has anyone changed a waterpump b4? mine just started making a noise, then siezed up, and then the belt snapped! managed to get the car bk home just with no powersteering!!!! any help with fitting or prices would be appreciated. thanks. !sad

    ok thanks. i hit the handle this morning and the door opened. so i will have a go at bending rod later?? ( the misses is glad!! she was moaning bout the hand brake being in the way every time she climbed across!!!)

    no i didnt bend rods? wot rods? it was working fine when i fitted them?

    can anyone help? my passenger side door will not open? ive fitted polo door handles two days ago and they have been working fine until tonight!! ive ripped the door card off to access the back of the handle but every thing looks fine. it is if the actual lock isnt unlocking? any ideas????????

    hi, on the chip theme. i recently got a chip from advanced motorsports for £30. it hardly made any difference at all, the limiter is higher and it pulls a little better. my mate has a superchip in his and it is no way worth the money!

    its got a dizzy. ive just had it apart and two wires are broken. so ive ordered a new hall sensor. its comin tues so should do the trick!

    thanx. yeah it doesnt pick up very quick, feels slow and sometimes has cut out. you put your foot down and nothing happens for a sec?

    does anyone know how you can tell if your hall sensor is not working. ?!
