u may have water around the plugs? have u got dizzy or coil pack? coz u need to make sure there is no water inside cap/coil pack... if u have use of a compressor blow air down where the plugs sit.. hope this helps.
im in the trade, if i was to do a private job i would charge 800-1000 for a repaint. alot of people take the piss and will rip u off. and alot of people have very low standards and do a shit job for the money! i do every job as if it was my own car..
ive never had a full tank coz i cant bare to part with all that money in one go! lol on the motor i get 28-29 mpg at about 80-90. i always drive it hard where ever i can usually get 22-24mpg. car has chip, filter, modded TB, exhaust etc. when i first had the car it was shite bout 14 even on a run. turned out a number of breathing hoses were blocked or split and hall sensor was fucked.
i think im going to buy one... a highline grill badge would look good on it instead of the kamei one? if it turns out to be rubbish i will stick it back on the bay.
has anyone bought one of these of the bay? and do they fit well? i like kamei grills ,but £175 is just to much! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8069710138&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1
ok thanks for that, im pretty sure i have just a normal 2.8 manifold. ive just had a spare one machined out to enlarge it, and would of been gutted if i already had a 2.9 one on my car! just need to clean up all the edges and weld it up like this.
hi everyone! i was told today that early golf vr6's had the same size inlet manifolds as corrado vr6's. is this correct? i thought that all golfs were the same, apart from the throttle bodys on OBD1 and OBD2? can anyone pls help? is there anyway to tell without taking it off?
im having my inlet manifold enlarged and welded up, so while its off im going to polish it up. why have u guys been polishing them up by hand? i will just get a D.A with a selection of discs go through the grades to 2000 and then polish it up with a cutting compound and then machine polish with a mop, easy.
ive got G-max shocks and springs bought them second hand for £70. im running 17" with 215 40 17's. i think the ride height is perfect, any lower and i would be ripping my bumper off! it did rub the back slighty so ive removed about 3-4mm from the lip. the fronts seem fine apart from i think the passenger side fouls on the arch liner on full lock when going over a bump? i find the shocks a little soft for my liking, i seem to get quite abit of body roll on corners. but im thinking of getting strut braces and uprating antiroll bars.
yes mate! all done myself.. i work in the trade. it should be all painted and fitted up by the weekend, so i'll post a pic. i think it is going to look good. just need to sort solenoid out, coz there is no way to open boot now! but that shouldnt be to hard to do, i will put a button on the dash to open boot, also i can programme my clifford to open it from the key fob!!
thought i would share my new tailgate with you all i personally think the std boot lid looks shite, so i decided to do something about it!! i had a piece of metal folded to replace pilth and a rnd piece punched to replace badge, also i had to weld up hole for lock under pilth. first i welded it all up then ground down welding flat with the skin next stage was to skim boot lid with filler and shape, followed by a coat of primer until i take it to work to 2K gun prime it. i'll post the finished item when its all done
