Yeah whats a comfort switch? Sound like a broken wire in the door frame, common problem.

The buzzing sound is most probably the aux water pump. If your moving up to West Yorkshire your more then welcome to pop down to my place to put it on the vagcom. sanky

Get it on Vagcom and if it come up with drivers sensor then i guess you can be sure that you've diturbed something.

I've got this same fault on my car, and was told by Stealth Racing that it was normal for this fault to come on. Let us know if the nev valve makes any difference.

It looks like the plug for the carbon canister EVAP Cannister Purge Regulator Valve., and as you dont have the carbon canister somebody might have taken the valve out to.

I put the strong smell of fuel in the morning from the exhaust down to the choke coming on is that not the case.

Cooling fan Stopped working

The one on the raditor is the temp sensor telling the fans to switch on. The one on the thermostat housing is the one for which speed to run it at, as it has 3 speeds. -

If it's buzzing for 20 seconds it will be most likley the TB re-setting. But i don't think it sholud do it all the time it's ushally only when battery has been diconected. sanky

I had nightmare about this happening to my car when i was doing an oil change, scary stuff.

The thermostat is under the coil pack. i would replace all the 'o' rings as well as the seal that goes to the cylindar head and also the T-Stat housing. Try doing a search vwvortex as i've read an article on there, on how to change it
