  1. Yeah merry Xmas to all and happy new year. Haven't you just moved house recently, remember reading your posts about it before.
  2. I was going to, but decided to just fit new parts. Thanks for the offer thou. Will definatley pop over for a few beers and chat soon. Haven't seen you on for a while everthing alright your end.
  3. Yeah ha :-p the ABS light has gone out. But it failed for the steering rack boots been split :@ so they getting changed. And i thought i might aswell have change the track rod ends changed as they need to come off for the boots, and by the looks of them they look like they have been on from new :-d . Oh well at least it will all be sorted when i get it back
  4. My cars gone in for the MOT and the rear ABS sensor to be changed. Hope the ABS light goes off and the test sails through (a) .
  5. Did they just change the Tstat or the housing and seals aswell. sounds a bit suspect that you've started losing water since they've worked on it. Check for leaks near the crack pipe as these are quite fragile, and also around the water pump area. Is there any wet patches on the floor in the morning or anything.
  6. Or you could become a premium member on here, and have look in the knowledge vault. Plenty of information in there on paint codes and other useful things.
  7. Thanks for the replys i will let you how it works out. Can anyone give me the part number for the ABS ring that sits on the back of the rear disc.
  8. This is what the tensioner looks like with bolt going in to remove the tension.
  9. I really like the sound of this just one question. I'm sure theres a electrical connecter that goes to the OE coil pack, so how does this get connected to the new type.
  10. Cheers Chrisdut I'll tell them to try that and see what happens
  11. Sorry to hear this mate. But as for the exhaust i would just play ignorant, and pretend you know nothing about cars espically VR6's, and claim that you thought thats how thay came.
  12. I'd rather have it working properly. Thanks for the tip thou, think i'll have to send a freind up to the garage with vagcom if dosent clear by itself.
  13. I need to make sure that it goes out, as the garage don't have a diagnostic computer to clear the fault. And I won't have time to go up there and clear the fault as i will be at work untill 5pm, which just leaves enough time to pick the car before they close. And will mean another day using public transport to get to work.
  14. I'm moving this thread into the General Malarkly section as i think you wil get a better response there, then the wanted section. .
  15. This is the one. Sorry aboutthe picture quality was done with camera phone.
  16. Got my car booked in next Thursday for the MOT test, But before it has the test its having the rear passenger side ABS sensor and the ABS Ring that sits behind the disc changed. Once these have been changed will the ABS light go out by itself, or will it the need codes clearing via VAGCOM.
  17. Looking excellant. Is the a pattern on the new leathers or is it my new monitior playing tricks on me.
  18. You will have to get some spigot rings to make your center bore match that of the wheel, and some wheel adaptors to convert the stud PCD. Once you find out the ET somebody might be able to tell what thickness to get for the spacers.
  19. They might fit with a set of wheel adaptors, to take them to 5x100 as that's the VR fitment. But you will also have to know what the center bore is, as if it's smaller 57.1mm you might not get them over the hub. And would also need to know the ET of the wheels.
  20. I haven't fitted mine as yet.But there was some talk about the center caps on the rear wheel might not sit flush, and might stick out by 2mm or so.
  21. The whole light looks bit empty as something missing.
  22. I know you don't have to it's just saves dripping oil on to the drive or over your hands. Your choice, but thats what the allen key is for.
  23. Just make sure you undo the allen key first,to drain the oil out of the filtter. Anyway how are you doing?
