  1. Just remember the piston on rear caliper needs to be screwed back in.
  2. Thats strange? If you still need it send us a PM and i'll try to sort it out for you.
  3. Are the wheels just polished or have they been chromed as well. Looking proper bling, looks like the phatdub guys will have to put warning sign next to the club stands next year. "Warning staring in to enginge bays can seriously damage your eyes" LOL
  4. Thats a bit much, i paid i think about £20 from the dealers.
  5. PM me if you want a How-To on it, if its the tensioner as i can't see any pics.
  6. Sound like your Aux water pump but that's on the gearbox side. After you've switched your car off have a look and listen on this side for the pump humming away. It should stop after 10mins or so, and should be continually running when the engine is on. However if it's on the airbox side as you describe it could be that the belt tensioner bearings have dried out.
  7. When i got the exhaust for mine i wanted something very subtle in noise. So i opted for a custom longlife one as they were the only company i could fine that would fit a 3 box system as per standard. The note of the exhaust isn't loud but a nice deep base tone and ideal for motorway driving with the family. A lot of the after market ones use a 2 box system.
  8. I guess i'm gone have to see what the car looks like once the wheels are on and take it from there. Thanks Sanky
  9. Can't remember off the top of my head but there was deffinatley no screws to take out. It's just a case of prising between the headlight switch and the ABS/SRS module. The only reason i know this is, that my abs light is on for the same reason as yours and i need to take the calliper off to get at it.But i haven't had the time or weather so i just the disconnected the light module the orange light isn't in my face all the time.
  10. It could be that the battery is not getting charged by the alternator, or there is load on the battery that's draining it. Also check that the light in the boot isn't staying on when the boot is shut. You could check the battery and alternator with multimeter if you have.
  11. Not sure about the sound proofing. But liking the pic of the car, what sort of drop are you running on and what with coils or springs. And have you had any arch work done for the wheels. I've got set of TT comps that i'm polishing at the momment, and if i can get the look of my car simillar to yours i would be well happy. Sanky
  12. The ABS light should come on when the ignition is switched on and go off if all is fine. But as your's isn't coming on at all i would check the bulb or the wiring hasn't been disconnected. As for the rear sensor you can try taking it out, it's held on with 1 hex bolt, which ushally comes out, but the sensor might not want to part company with the rest of the car which will mean taking the rear calliper and disc off to get access to it. Which could turn out to be another arse as the carrier bolts for the calliper can be pain to take out. And as for the EVAP valve fault,i was told by Stealth tha
  13. I got mine form Demon Tweeks, i think thats how you spell it. They also have a website so you can oder online.
  14. Gutted for you mate. Proper basta***.
  15. You need to heat up the headlight in the oven or using a heatgun around the seal to soften the silicone and gentely prise off.
  16. Take it back to the garage that did the service and see what they have to say about it. That would be my first point of call.

It's the case of garages/tyre fitters using a trolley jack on the seal. When VW have specifically made a jacking point foe the trolley jack. Knob's
  18. I've got a 97R registered in September and i don't have one. But then again it started it's life in Scotland so maybe they had diffrent laws there at the time.
  19. Redline MT-90. If you do a search on this oil you will find it highley recommended.
  20. And there you was going to sell the poor girl you hardly even know her
  21. You can do the open/close all windows with the key in the door lock. I think this feature is standard fit.
  22. Try this. Turn the key to unlock the car and hold it there until all the windows and suroof open. Don't take the key and lock the doors and hold it until all the windows and sunroof close. Then try the window switch for the touch to go down and up. There was some info on this on another forum, i'll try and dig it out for you.
