  1. Not exactly sure but i think you might need a cap for the expansion tank, or there might be a hole in the tank it self. I remember reading about some one with same problem, try doing a search on here.
  2. Lovely motor, your R32 alloys would also look nice on there. IMO i think it coud do with lowering a bit and maybe get rid of the tints. How about some pics of the inside
  3. Cheers Pete will give you call form the works phone tomorow. As for the bearings i can't remember if had to take the bearing out to get the discs off when i last changed the discs and pads :$ . So if i have to take the bearing out to get the disc off i might aswell change that at the same time.
  4. Not exactly sure but if i had managed to get my rear one out in one peice i would have probably used something like WD40. The rear ones should be easy to find just look for an electric wire and follow it to the hub as there shouldn't be anything electical there. As for the front ones i will try and dig you a pic out
  5. You need to get on the vagcom to have the fault codes read to find out which part of the ABS is fautly. If the light is coming on intermitently it would be better to switch the ABS off all togther untill you can get it fixed. I've never had to do this but one way you could switch the ABS off is by disconnecting one of the rear sensor as the wire is under the rear seat. This will make the system think that there is a fault and switch off the ABS all togther.
  6. My ABS light has been on for a couple of weeks now, had it on vagcom and it came up with rear left sensor faulty. So last night I thought I'd try and take it off and give it a bit of clean, got the bolt out but the sensor wouldn't budge. Tried wedging it with screwdriver and soaking it with WD40 but still no joy. Ended up with sensor breaking, is there another way that sensor comes out or is it just stuck in. And will I have to take the rear disc off to get to the rest of the sensor now, and if I am taking the rear disc off will I have to take the bearings out of the old discs as they were re
  7. Best bet would be to get the part numbers off him and then have a look at the Koni website to cross reference the part numbers.
  8. Might have shifted some dirt around when they probably cleaned the arches. Best bet would be to get it on vagcom to find which part of the abs is faulty. If it throws a sensor fault you will have to take it out and give it a clean to see if it goes away. My rear abs sensor came on coulpe of day's after i did the discs and pads, i ended up just jet washing underneath the car near the faulty sensor and the fault cleared up. Lasted a good part of a year.
  9. Moved thread as it's nothing to do with dubs
  10. Hi Nicky, and welcome to the froum. You need to host your images on somewhere like photobucket and then copy the (img img) link's in to your post. So which colour have you bought?
  11. Nice, how about a nice exhaust to hear the six pot properly
  12. Nice wheels and the car looking very nice but could do with coming down a tad. Is it on stock suspension at the momment
  13. Look's good but why didn't you clean and dress the arches while you had the wheel off. *-)
  14. Ramair all the way awesome some sound when you give it some, and nice suttle in normal driving conditions.
  15. Have to agree with binliner, E38 is more about having a chill out session with like minded people. And the odd beer thrown in for good measure. Just a shame i missed it this year.
  16. Yes it's in this months mag. I think it was picture from santa pod on the 1/4 mile.
  17. According the book the standard VR raddo is faster then the Golf. It also handeles a lot better then the golf. Some people say that when the raddo was launched by VW they got the package pretty perfect in performance, looks and handaling.
  18. The raddo is nice looking car and i would have bought one, but wiith a samll family the Golf was the more practical choice.
