  10. My clutch pedal seems to make rachet noise, but only when the engine is hot. And i also get a sort of squeking noise when i press it and de-press it, this is aslo when the engine is hot. Anyone know what could be causing it? Could it be that the clutch is on it's way out.
  11. I've changed mine to Redline MT-90 as it comes highly recommended for the VR. The only problem is that it's a mail order item. I got mine from demon tweeks. Theres a good how-to on the Corrado forum if you need it.

  13. To buy it form VW you have to buy the seal as well as the base of the arial. Or you can get vagparts. https://sslrelay.com/s74326199.oneandoneshop.co.uk/sess/utn;jsessionid=1545ab3e6c2b586/shopdata/index.shopscript 10 minute job to replace.
  14. Theres a sound clip of the chain rattle in the premium section. Or you can try doing a search on vwvortex for it.

  18. The fitter might be good, but if they are not very knowledgeable about the car then it dosen't help. As the bit about the damage to the window rubbers, they managed to damage mine slightly taking the old windscreen out. So i had to explain the damage wasn't there before the windscreen had been replaced, and had to show them some pics of the car before, and explain that i enter the car for S&S comps so i know it was spot on before. They did replace at the end but it's hassele you can do with out.
  19. Yes it was me. I had it replaced at autoglass, and the bottom shaded area was a bit short on the after market wind screen. So had it replaced with a genuine one, which was fine. Some tips before you have it done. 1. Tell them you want a genuine vw windscreen, and don't listen to the crap that they are all made at the same place. And tell them to make sure it has the VW stamp on it. 2. Also show them the roof rubber that go down to the windscreen are flat on the roof and no damage is on them. 3. Show them the shaded area at the bottom of the windscreen, telling them that the dash board is not
  20. Last year stealth quoted me near the £750 mark with a new clutch and i think it was £1400 including a head re-build aswell. But just give them a call to make sure. Or there's guy on here called killokilla whos in stoke who can change them for a very resonable price. Try doing search and i'm sure you will find all the answers you need.
  21. sound like the auxliary water pump. Is the nosie still there when the enging is switched off for about 10mins.
  22. Im hate the weather at the momment, as it makes the car really dirty in a matter of days. And the grime looks very oily aswell. But as i'm obsessed about cleaning the car it gets washed every weekend and waxed depending on how cold it is at the time. And it's nice having the cleanest car on the road.
  23. Are the front ones adjustable too. I planning on doing the same as you Jim. So it would be good to know whats the ride like. What springs were using befor Jay?
  24. Agree with the Goth on the ABS front. Get it on the vagcom and tell us what sort of fault codes you are getting, and i'm sure someone will point you in the right direction.
